Today, we pause to remember the lives stolen from us on September 11, 2001. 25 years later, we carry the memory of the innocent souls lost that morning and the ultimate sacrifice of those who ran toward danger without hesitation.

Our promise to Never Forget does not end with that day. Today, we also honor the thousands of responders, survivors, and recovery workers who have since lost their lives to World Trade Center-related illnesses. We stand in solidarity with those who continue to fight those battles today. We will always remember their courage, their sacrifice, and their resilience. 🇺🇸

Members of Greenburgh IAFF Local 1586 recently had the opportunity to attend MDA Summer Camp, with one of our members volunteering for the entire week as a counselor.

MDA has long held a special place in our Local. Our late brother, Robert “Bubba” Mentrasti, was a dedicated supporter and fundraiser for MDA. Following his passing in 2017 from 9/11-related cancer, the Mentrasti family established a foundation in his honor that helps send several children to MDA Summer Camp each year.

We’re proud to continue supporting MDA and carrying on Bubba’s legacy by helping give these kids an unforgettable week at camp.

Please help us reach our goal and consider donating to our fill the boot drive. Link in our bio.
