Leviticus Fund Leviticus Fund provides flexible capital for the development of affordable housing and community fac

The Leviticus Fund was founded in 1983 by church groups located in the New York metropolitan area who are members of the Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment. These founding members were already involved in shareholder advocacy – using their assets to influence corporate policies that impact the economically poor – and saw the creation of the Leviticus Fund as a way to directly respond to needs in low-income communities.

What does a woman who spent her inheritance to help the poor in Ireland in the 1820s have to do with a planned shelter for women in Brooklyn? The common thread is the Sisters of Mercy.

We were pleased to be featured on the Mercy Investment Services website for our lending to Providence House, and are grateful for their continued support! https://leviticusfund.org/supporter-spotlight-sisters-of-mercy/

SIGN UP TODAY- https://tinyurl.com/leviticus-getting-to-yes

The workshop is designed for nonprofit affordable housing developers and decision-makers in New York looking to secure financing and strengthen their development pipeline in uncertain times.

“Getting to Yes” will be held on Zoom on Friday, December 5, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will include presentations from panelists Andrew Warren, Senior Vice President, TD Bank; Ariel Garcia, Chief Housing Officer, Urban Pathways; and Katie Devine, Principal, Rockabill Consulting & Development.

Participants will gain:

* Better Understanding of Lender Expectations: Learn what lenders prioritize when evaluating acquisition and predevelopment loans, from organizational capacity to financing feasibility.

* Expert Insights on Key Trends: The session will explore the federal, state, and local factors shaping affordable housing finances.

* Real-World Risk Assessment: Attendees will hear directly from lenders and fellow developers about navigating today's most pressing challenges, including rising construction costs, supply chain impacts, and thin operating margins.

“Borrowers will be more likely to secure predevelopment or acquisition financing if they understand lender expectations,” said Greg Maher, Executive Director of the Leviticus Fund. “This workshop offers an opportunity for developers to connect with industry experts to share insights and strategies for success.”

There is no cost to attend the workshop, but registration is required.

The Leviticus Fund is proud to support Shelterforce as they mark 50 years on the front lines of housing justice, just as we support veterans who continue to fight for a place to call home. We partner with organizations like Homes for Heroes in Rockland County to provide permanent supportive housing (pictured) for veterans experiencing homelessness. We’re making sure that veterans have a chance to create a meaningful life after their service. And we’re grateful that Shelterforce continues to provide the kind of in-depth reporting that drives change. https://shelterforce.org/shelterforce-newsmatch-campaign-2025/

It's a special honor when one of *our* investors shares a Leviticus story to demonstrate impact to *their* investors. According to CNote, "these stories illuminate the power of aligned capital. Every dollar committed in this way becomes more than an investment; it becomes a building block of equity, resilience, and hope." Thank you, CNote, for your ongoing and meaningful support.
