June 17 at 7 pm: An Evening of Ukrainian Memory
Roman Koval has been one of Ukraine's leading researchers of the Ukrainian liberation movement for over three decades.

A highlight of the evening will be Koval's presentation of the newly published English-language edition of Mykola Mikhnovsky's Independent Ukraine (1900), one of the first modern political works to openly advocate for a sovereign Ukrainian state.

The evening will also feature a screening of Koval's acclaimed short documentary, The Eternal Beauty of Mykhailo Horlovyi, dedicated to the life and work of the distinguished Ukrainian sculptor, artist, poet, and patriot Mykhailo Horlovyi.

There will be a Q&A with Roman Koval following the screening.

Admission is Free. The event is co sponsored by the UNWLA NJRC.

Debate on the Ukraine Support Act (H.R. 2913) is scheduled for Wednesday, with a final House vote expected Thursday if key procedural votes pass.

Several procedural votes must succeed before the bill can advance — and there are active efforts underway to block them.

We urge everyone who supports Ukraine to call their House Representatives today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday. Even a short, polite voicemail can make a difference.

✨ Modern Roots Runway Show organized by UNWLA Branch 65, NJ and UNWLA Branch 10 was a tremendous success raising 38,000 for UNWLA initiative: supporting women defenders in Ukraine.✨
Through UNWLA's partnership with Zemliachky, these funds will provide uniforms and essential gear to women serving on the front lines.

On May 10, 2026, UNWLA, Branch 135, NJ hosted a Vybiyka workshop.
Attendees gathered after Liturgy to learn the traditional Ukrainian art of block printing on fabric creating one-of-a-kind tote bags, t-shirts and aprons.
