This past Sunday at our mifgash, fellows dove into learning about Israeli democracy and society 🇮🇱

Fellows explored different perspectives on Israeli democracy through a debate activity. Yoav taught about how the Israeli government works and answered all kinds of questions about life in Israel during an open Q&A.

Simon and Ava presented their fellow stages and Max presented his staff stage!

On Sunday at our 9th mifgash, fellows dove into peoplehood! We kicked things off by hearing from Sara and Mano about their passions for graphic design and photography/hiking.

Fellows then explored Jewish peoplehood and GMW’s partnership communities in Israel. We learned about the people, programs, and projects in Kibbutz Erez, Ofakim, Merchavim, Rishon LeZion, and Arad that are making a real impact. It was especially meaningful to see just how connected our Federation is to communities across Israel.

JCs Max and Lila kept the theme going by sharing the top ten countries with the largest Jewish communities, and fellows took it a step further by proposing new Diller partnerships with places like Kyiv, Paris, Mexico City, and NYC.

We wrapped up with our Rishon Yoav, who taught fellows about Israeli and Zionist history. 🇮🇱🌍

Last week at our eighth mifgash, fellows spent time reflecting on their Diller experience so far. They reflected on the middot (values) that they feel strong in and the middot that they want to work on during the rest of the program. The fellows also wrote words of kindness and strengths that they see in each other.

We had fun hearing from Addy about her love for ceramics (and got to practice ourselves) and from Chloe about her love for traveling.
