Last week, our Executive Director, Stephanie Powers, had the privilege of joining Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA) and fellow Maryland R**e Crisis center leaders in Washington, D.C. to advocate for survivors of sexual violence and discuss the critical need for continued investment in victim services.

During meetings with Maryland's congressional delegation, Stephanie shared the experiences of survivors in Carroll County and highlighted the vital work happening every day at CARE Healing Center. From crisis intervention and counseling to medical accompaniment, prevention education, and legal advocacy, these conversations helped ensure that the voices of survivors in our community were heard at the federal level.

We are grateful to MCASA for organizing this important opportunity and to Maryland's elected officials for their continued commitment to supporting survivors and the agencies that serve them.

WOW. What an incredible 24 hours! 💙
Our Row for Change 24-Hour Row-A-Thon was an amazing success, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude for every person who showed up, took a seat on the rower, cheered from the sidelines, donated, volunteered, and stood in solidarity with survivors.
For 24 straight hours, individuals pushed through fatigue, challenged themselves, and demonstrated what it means to come together as a community to support survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and trafficking. Every stroke represented hope, healing, and the belief that survivors deserve to be heard, believed, and supported.
A very special thank you to Blackbird CrossFit for hosting this incredible event and creating a space where our community could come together for such an important cause. We are also deeply grateful to HBW Construction, our Title Sponsor, whose generous support helped make this event possible.
