🎉Free Application Days: Oct. 20- Oct. 22! 🎉

🎓What is Colorado Free Application Days?
Colorado Free Application Days happen from Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, through Thursday, Oct. 22 only. All public and some private institutions of higher education waive application fees during that time.

💻How does it work?
Students must submit completed admissions applications from Oct. 20-22. Any admissions applications that have been started but not submitted may not be granted a waiver. Any other admission documents that are not part of the actual admission application that institutions may require (for example, high school transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.) can be submitted before or after Oct. 20.

✅Each institution has a unique process to waive the admissions application submission fee. Visit the Colorado Free Application Day webpage to find specific information by institution. https://cdhe.colorado.gov/colorado-free-application-day-instructions

🎒What does your support of WPS students actually look and sound like?

Our new 2025-2026 Impact Report brings that story to life. This year, we made significant investments in scholarships, career pathways, classroom innovation, basic needs support, and staff wellness.

But we hope you'll look beyond the numbers.

💻This is an interactive report, with videos that let you hear directly from WPS students, watch them perform, and see some of the opportunities your support helped make possible.

🎓Inside, you'll also see how we invested your support in WPS students, educators, and programs during 2025-2026, while laying the groundwork for even more investment in the year ahead.

Thank you for being part of this work and for helping create opportunities for WPS students to learn, thrive, and succeed.

What a great day! ⛳

Waste Connections of Colorado held its annual golf tournament on September 17, and we were so happy to be part of it. Even better, we just learned that the tournament exceeded its 2026 fundraising goal by more than 20%!

Waste Connections of Colorado is an incredible partner to the WPS Foundation and our students. We are so grateful for their generosity, their continued support and the many ways they show up for our schools.

A special thank you to the Waste Connections of Colorado staff who work so hard to put this tournament together each year. We know how much time and effort goes into making an event like this a success, and we appreciate all that you do.

Thank you to the entire Waste Connections of Colorado team, the sponsors, golfers and everyone who made this year’s tournament such a success.

And yes, that Waste Connections truck trophy is pretty great. 💙

🎻 This week Westminster High School's Mariachi and Orchestra programs were featured on 9NEWS Next with Kyle Clark as part of the Word of Thanks campaign — kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month!

9NEWS came to film the students performing today, check them out on the news at 6:00 PM.

A Westminster Public Schools student is one instrument away from finding their voice — and you can be the reason they get it. Your gift puts a violin, cello, harp, guitarrón, or vihuela directly into a student's hands — instruments built to last 20+ years, so your generosity keeps supporting new student musicians for years to come.

Give today and help us reach our $50,000 goal: https://www.fundwps.org/donate/donate-9news--word-of-thanks.html

Thank you for helping Westminster students keep the music playing, this Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond. 🎶

First day of school in the books! 🎒

It was great seeing the halls and cafeteria buzzing with energy again today. New year, new classes, new goals — Westminster Public Schools students are off to a great start.

At WPSF, we're glad to be part of a community that shows up for these kids, all year long. Here's to a great 2026-2027 school year!

What a morning! 🎒☀️

Our Backpack Giveaway wrapped up today, and seeing hundreds of WPS students walk away with a brand new backpack — fully stocked with school supplies — never gets old. There's nothing like watching a kid's face light up when they get to pick their own backpack for the year.

Starting the school year with the right tools makes a real difference. It's one less thing for families to worry about, and one more way our students can walk into their classrooms feeling ready and confident.

None of this happens without our incredible community. A huge thank you to every donor and sponsor who made today possible — your generosity is showing up on the backs (and backpacks!) of WPS kids today. 💙

We've got more photos from today coming your way this week — stay tuned!
