⛳ Meet Our Host — Brad Frederking!

We are so honored to introduce Brad Frederking — a man who has spent a lifetime showing up for first responders, and who continues to do so in the most meaningful ways.

Brad dedicated an incredible 36 years to serving as a police officer in Boulder — a career built on integrity, service, and a genuine love for the people around him. He and his wife Deborah, who retired from Broomfield PD, now enjoy life as empty nesters with two grown daughters. A household with two retired officers? We’re guessing dinner conversations are never boring. 😄

In retirement, Brad has been working part-time in client relations with Townsend Retirement — and it’s a role that fits him perfectly. Throughout his entire career, building and maintaining meaningful relationships within the first responder community was never just a priority — it was who he is.

That same heart is what brought Brad to Revital Colorado, where he hosts golf outings sponsored by Townsend Retirement, bringing first responders together in a relaxed, meaningful setting. When we asked Brad what this connection means to him, he said it best himself:

“Connecting two great organizations, led by people who truly care about first responders’ physical, mental, and financial well-being, has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.”

Brad, thank you for 36 years of service and for continuing to pour into this community every single day. We are so grateful to have you. 🙌

This flag flies because of them.

We remember the fallen today with full hearts and deep gratitude. Their love for this country was the greatest gift — and we don’t take a single day of freedom for granted.

Bless our fallen heroes. Bless America. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Our thoughts and prayers are with this family, the department and everyone who knew him as they face this unexpected loss.

It is with great sadness that North Metro Fire Rescue District announces the off-duty death of Lieutenant Chad Tellinger due to illness. Chad was hired by North Metro in 1998 and proudly served the community and organization for more than 27 years. He was 52 years old.

Chad was a highly respected firefighter, mentor, IAFF Local 2203 leader, and beloved family man whose loss is deeply felt across the North Metro family. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, two sisters, and his mother.

The District is working closely with Chad’s family to coordinate services and support. With the family’s permission, additional information will be shared in the coming days.

Ken Bradley is a lieutenant here with Berthoud Fire, and is well-known in the fire community as a dedicated teacher and leader. He and his wife, Carol, have three children, and their family has always been active in supporting others. Now, they are facing an unimaginable challenge.

On Sunday, while driving to work, Ken was critically injured in a head-on collision caused by a vehicle traveling the wrong way in the HOV lane. The accident left Ken with multiple fractures in both legs, fractures to his left arm, a dislocated right shoulder, several broken ribs, a pneumothorax, a significant leg laceration, and a concussion. He has already undergone several surgeries and will need more in the coming days to repair the extensive injuries. Despite the severity of the accident, Ken’s resilience and the support of his family have been remarkable.

Ken's extended family has set up a GoFundMe to assist- Carol and their children are making daily trips from Colorado Springs to Denver to be by Ken’s side. The road to recovery will be long, and the family is facing mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the challenge of supporting their children during this difficult time. Donations to this fundraiser will help cover medical costs, travel expenses, and provide much-needed support for Carol and the kids as Ken heals.

We are so grateful that Ken survived, but the journey ahead is daunting. Any support for Ken, Carol, and their children is deeply appreciated. Please help this family as they navigate the difficult road ahead.

Date night got a little dangerous 🔎 but don’t worry no first responders were harmed in the solving of this mystery.

These couples stepped into a murder mystery dinner experience where solving the crime was only part of the fun. Nights like these create opportunities to decompress, reconnect, and build relationships with people who understand the unique challenges first responder families face.

Because wellness doesn’t always look like therapy sessions — sometimes it looks like laughter around a dinner table.
