Successful transition back into society after lockup is not easy. Without any support or plan in place, many coming out of corrections are at risk for re-offending. Recidivism is a vicious cycle which leaves our communities broken, unsafe and disjointed. The Transformation Project’s mission is to minimize our 85% recidivism rate and to bring Maine communities together to support its members who ha

ve experienced incarceration by providing them, at no charge, a safe and positive supportive environment, and the opportunity for housing, employment, case management and mentorship. The Transformation Project (TTP) partners with Maine correctional facilities, churches, organizations, corporations, and volunteers to support offenders working to successfully reenter their community. TTP provides support via case management inside and outside of lockup, housing, and mentorship and educational programming. With the support of the community, TTP will create a sustainable, positive change within each individual life we serve. As TTP changes lives, communities are transformed.

Excited to see some first time TTP campers this year joining the fun! Trey and little Barrett are making it a father/son weekend!

TTP is all about the discipleship of men who will then transform and bring the message of freedom through gospel hope to their communities. What is more powerful than seeing that lived out in the context of families and seeing generational curses broken. Weekends like these are such a great opportunity for young boys to be discipled and encouraged by the older men.
This is what it’s all about!!

Sometimes Monday discipleship night looks like outdoor rec, haircuts and pizza.

Some of the guys may’ve left soaking as victims of a water gun (don’t mess with Ravi Shamaoun) 🔫but, most left clean cut, shaven, and bellies full.

What a great morning of worship, teaching and sharing with the believers at Community of Grace. We have had such a long standing partnership with this amazing body of believers, visiting with them feels like visiting family!
Once a month we visit a local church and share what God is doing at TTP and share how the community can come alongside and support the mission of transformational freedom in Christ.

🤝 Kingdom Builders Highlight 🤝

David DeLuca

This month, we’re honored to recognize David DeLuca—the longest-standing member of our volunteer team and a faithful part of The Transformation Project for many years.

Dave has served tirelessly and consistently, always willing to step in, help, encourage, and support wherever needed. He is a man full of wisdom, compassion, and humility, and his impact on this ministry and community will continue to reverberate for years to come.

Dave has served as a pastoral mentor to many of the men who have come through The Transformation Project, and the impact he has made in their lives is obvious. He is not afraid to get into the trenches and love people exactly where they are—walking alongside them with grace, truth, patience, and genuine care.

Through quiet faithfulness and a servant’s heart, Dave has helped shape the culture and community of TTP in meaningful ways. His presence, encouragement, and dedication have been a blessing to so many men along the journey of transformation.

🙏 And a special thank you to Ellen for your support of Dave and for sharing him with us as he serves so faithfully here at TTP.

So thankful for men like Rich! He never pines for the attention, or needs to be seen, but, without Rich things would not run as well as they do and our community would be lacking a true, selfless servant.

We open God’s word because it’s the greatest mirror we have to show us ourselves.
We do it together because we need one another to draw our eyes to Jesus who shows us ourselves in order to show us our need of Him.

Just as we were made for God, we were made for community.
At this table, no one is better than the other, no one has to front or wear a mask. We come together to be real, to be raw, and most importantly to be changed!
