Telligen Community Initiative is proud to support Oklahoma Birth Equity Initiative with a $25,000 capacity building grant awarded in July. Funding will strengthen its leadership, governance, and long-term sustainability through board development, succession planning, strategic planning, and improving internal systems to sustain continued growth and impact.

“Oklahoma Birth Equity Initiative (OKBEI) works both with community and in systems to move the needle for moms and babies ensuring their voices are heard and they feel safe and cared for during their maternal health journey. We believe by providing culturally congruent care in communities we prevent further harm to communities facing disproportionate maternal health risks. Congratulations to the Oklahoma Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative, which received a capacity building grant during our latest round of funding this summer. Funding will support the organization's work with a development consultant to create a funding strategy, case for support, grant proposal infrastructure, and foundation engagement plan to diversify revenue and strengthen long-term sustainability.

Congratulations to the The Arc of Iowa, who received a $25,000 grant from the Telligen Community Initiative during its latest round of funding in July. Funding will strengthen organizational capacity by building a statewide family leadership and membership infrastructure to expand stakeholder engagement, improve tracking, increase advocacy and support long-term sustainability.
