Excited about the new Masonic year.
Timeless Values and Traditions 2026–2027 Lapel Pin
As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 Masonic year, our incoming Grand Master Kim Jones as created our theme, “Timeless Values and Traditions,” reminding us that while the world around us continues to change, the values at the heart of Freemasonry remain constant.
Integrity. Brotherly Love. Relief. Truth. Personal Growth.
These principles were important to the generations of Masons who came before us, and they remain just as relevant today. They represent many of the things men continue to seek—purpose, character, fellowship, service, and the opportunity to become better men.
Our traditions are how we teach and pass these timeless values from one generation to the next. Through our ritual, symbolism, working tools, fellowship, and service, the lessons of the Craft continue regardless of how much the world around us changes.
The emblem itself helps tell that story. The working tools are positioned around the design to create the appearance of a clock face, representing time and the generations that have come before us and those that will follow.
At the 12 o’clock position sits the State of Iowa, identifying our jurisdiction to Brothers throughout the country and beyond. While its placement was primarily intended to clearly identify where the emblem comes from, it also offers a fitting interpretation. Twelve o’clock is where one cycle of the clock ends and another begins—much like the beginning of a new Masonic year and a new chapter of leadership. Iowa stands at the top of that clock as we begin 2026–2027, carrying forward the same principles entrusted to generations before us.
At the center remain the Square and Compasses, reinforcing perhaps the most important message of all:
Time moves forward. Leadership changes. Generations come and go. But the values at the center of our Craft endure.
That is the spirit behind Grand Master Kim Jones Timeless Values and Traditions pin.
