🏅Honoring Character & Leadership! ✨ The Desmond Doss Foundation had an inspiring weekend with the Prescott High School AFJROTC! See much more 👉 https://bit.ly/PH_AFJROTC_2026

On Friday, Sept. 18th, DDF President Jeffrey Cordone spoke with Sophomore through Senior Cadets about MOH Desmond Doss’ character, legacy and service. The momentum continued Saturday, Sept. 19th, as SMSgt Eric Appeldoorn coordinated the beautiful Color Guard for the Hope Fest Arizona Opening Ceremonies, while Senior Cadets generously volunteered at the DDF booth.

The highlight of the weekend: During the evening program, Jeffrey recognized the unit for its 2nd year embracing the Desmond Doss Edusodes Video Series character development program and presented a $1,000 scholarship check to SMSgt. Appeldoorn and Cadet Major Sarah Meyer! 🎓🇺🇸

🏅Honoring a legacy of service by serving those who gave so much. ✨ The Desmond Doss, Foundation team—including Chairman Gabe Videla & President Jeffrey Cordone—had the distinct honor of supporting the recent Veterans Stand Down & Shelter Court in Fontana, California, alongside Roger Rustad, the Desmond Doss Foundation Director of Veteran Affairs, and his wife, Jewelretta.

Our team spent the day connecting directly with local heroes to provide tangible support and resources:

🔹 Restoring Identities: Roger was on-site crafting personalized, replacement dog tags for veterans.

🔹 Innovative Access: Jeffrey and Roger shared how vision-impaired veterans can apply to receive cutting-edge Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses directly through the foundation.

🔹 Building Character: We were thrilled to share our new video series, the Desmond Doss Character Development Educational Edusodes, inspiring the next generation and honoring Desmond's legacy of patriotism and unconditional love.

🇺🇸 Thank you to everyone who made this day an impactful time of restoration, connection, and community.

🏅 Relive the best moments from an unforgettable weekend in Las Vegas! ⛳️✨

We are still riding the wave of excitement from the 5th Annual Desmond T. Doss Memorial Golf Tournament, and we’ve gathered all the highlights into one photo album for you. It was a beautiful weekend of golf for a cause, honoring a true hero, and making incredible memories on the course.

Every swing supported the Desmond Doss Foundation as we carry forward Desmond’s legacy of patriotism and unconditional love. Proceeds directly fund vital youth programs, including the "Desmond Doss Edusodes" video series and scholarship presentations that inspire the next generation to live a character-driven life.

Here is a look at what made this tournament so special:

• PGA HOPE Golfers: A wonderful group of Veteran golfers from PGA HOPE joined us out on the green, bringing incredible camaraderie to the game.

• The Perfect Backdrop: Players hit the fairways at the stunning Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort on the scenic Snow Mountain Course.

• Proud Sponsorship: A huge shoutout to Patrick Sheehan, Regional Sales Director, and our sponsor Coca-Cola for their incredible support.

• Investing in the Future: We were thrilled to present a Scholarship Check to the outstanding cadets of the Palo Verde High School AFJROTC.
