We (Friends of Ashe County Animal Shelter) have recently merged with our local sister animal rescue organization, Ashe Humane Society, here in Ashe County. Combined, we and our volunteers will make an unstoppable team united in our passion and dedication to the welfare of our Ashe County animals in need, as well as our community. We are so excited to begin this next chapter, with new plans and big results, all for animal welfare in our community!
If you’ve supported us in the past, please consider continuing to support us as we are ONE organization now!!
Ashe Humane Society (AHS) is a local 501c3 nonprofit, which means your donation is tax deductible!
AHS is NOT affiliated with the larger, national humane societies, which means we receive NO money from them.
AHS receives no money from federal, state or county governments. Which means, we depend on our supporters to help us make a difference in our community. We do receive the occasional grant, but our backbone comes from the $5, $20, $100 donors.
Every single dollar you donate, helps us help our LOCAL animals in need.
Please like our Fb page, our TikTok, go to our Website: Ashehumanesociety.org. Support us and our amazing volunteers in our mission here in Ashe!
Help us, help them !

On May 1, 2023 the Ashe Humane Society became a foster home-based rescue that intakes in-danger animals from Ashe County Animal Control only. We no longer have a building nor a shelter and do not take stray animals nor feral cats.
