Don't miss the latest exhibit at the Ashe Arts Center in Downtown West Jefferson! "Shadow of the Hills" features works by the Blue Ridge Art Clan, a group of local artists here in the High Country. The Blue Ridge Art Clan was founded by Florence Thomas at a time when artists needed a way to connect and learn. In 2026, this group continues doing just that! Their exhibit is a testament to the skill and variety of their members!

Come visit us until May 30th to see for yourself!

We'd like to thank everyone who makes our Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) Program such a success!!

Yesterday we enjoyed a performance by JAM students on the stage at the Ashe Civic Center. Thank you to all who made this possible:

Raising up the next generation of traditional music players and appreciators is such an important thing here in Ashe County, and we couldn't do it without you!

This program is funded, in part, by a Folklife Initiatives Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, a Wayne Henderson Festival Grant, and is sponsored by the Ashe County Arts Council.
