Juneteenth is a day of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude.

The faces from spring 2026 camp say it all ❤️🙏🏽

We honor the resilience of those who endured unimaginable hardship, the courage of those who fought for freedom, and the generations who continue the work of advancing justice and equality.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder that freedom, dignity, and belonging should never be taken for granted. It inspires me to continue building bridges across cultures and creating spaces where every young person feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.

A huge bravo to all the organizations and leaders pioneering the next generation of inclusion in surf and beach culture, ensuring our beaches and oceans are spaces where everyone belongs:

Super overdue post! A huge thank you to & for creating opportunities that empower women and girls in our community. 🌊💙

A very special thank you to and for your continued support of Culture Club South Bay and our mission. Your generosity made it possible for four of our girls to participate in this incredible event, opening doors to confidence, connection, and belonging.

Even more special, two of these girls learned to surf for the very first time during our 2026 Spring Camp, and now they’re continuing their journey in the water because of your sponsorship and belief in them. That’s the power of community.

Together, we’re not just teaching girls to surf—we’re building confidence, creating opportunities, and inspiring the next generation to feel strong, fearless, and at home in the ocean.

This is Bruce’s Beach. And it is alive. 🌊🔭

At Culture Club South Bay Spring Camp 2026, brought the ocean to life for our campers in a way no classroom ever could.

Binoculars out. Eyes on the horizon. Hands in the sand.

Our kids held sea specimens, identified coastal birds, explored marine ecosystems, and learned what it actually looks, feels, and smells like when a coastline is healthy — and what it looks like when it isn’t.

Because you can’t protect what you don’t understand. And you can’t love what you’ve never truly seen.

Heal the Bay gave our campers new eyes for the beach they’ve been standing on all week. That is a gift that doesn’t wash away.

Thank you for showing up for our community with science, with heart, and with binoculars. 💙🙏

Year 6 doesn’t happen without the people who show up year after year. 🏐

A massive thank you to for your continued partnership and showing up to coach every week of camp.

You brought patience, passion, and a genuine belief in every kid who stepped onto the sand.

Volleyball at Culture Club South Bay is more than a sport. It builds confidence, teamwork, and the belief that you can do hard things when someone believes in you.

Six years of partnership. Six years of showing up.

Final day of camp tomorrow and what a beautiful few weeks it’s been. So much growth, courage, connection, laughter, learning, and joy shared at the beach together.

We’re so proud of every young person who showed up, tried new things, supported one another, and became part of this community. Thank you to our incredible volunteers, coaches, partners, donors and families for helping make it all possible.

Meet Hendrix. 🌊

His first surfing experience didn’t go the way he hoped. But instead of giving up, he came back to try again.

He courageously said yes to another wave… and now he’s absolutely crushing it.

A beautiful reminder for all of us that growth, confidence, and joy often live on the other side of trying again.
