💚✨ 26.2 HOURS. COUNTLESS ACTS OF KINDNESS. ONE INCREDIBLE COMMUNITY! ✨💚
Did you know the Junior League of Hartford has been making a difference in Greater Hartford since 1921? That’s over a century of women coming together to serve, lead, and lift up our neighbors! 🫶
In 2016, we launched our very first Volunteer-a-Thon, turning the spirit of a marathon into something even more meaningful: 26.2 consecutive hours of volunteering! 🏃♀️💕
But we’re not running for medals. We’re showing up for our community. From serving meals and sorting food donations to helping families access essential resources, every hour is an opportunity to make someone’s day a little brighter.
🌟 AND THE IMPACT IS REAL!
During our 2024–2025 League year, JLH contributed:
⏰ 686 volunteer hours
💰 $18,000 in community grants
And at a past Volunteer-a-Thon, our amazing volunteers accomplished:
💚 82 volunteers joining forces
🤝 19 nonprofits supported
🥗 123 meals served
🥫 2,400 pounds of food sorted
💌 105 cards made for veterans
Behind every number is a person, a family, or a community that matters.
Our mission has always been about advancing women’s leadership through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Today, we’re especially committed to addressing the impacts of systemic poverty on women and families throughout Greater Hartford.
Because volunteering isn’t just about giving your time. It’s about building connections, spreading compassion, developing leaders, and creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. 🌷
As we gear up for another Volunteer-a-Thon, we’re reminded that meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight… although we’re certainly willing to volunteer through the night to help make it happen! ☕💚😉
Together, we’re proving that when women unite with purpose, extraordinary things can happen.
