Women in motorsports!!! đŸ’Ș

I am so proud of Miss Angel for earning the Sportsmanship Award at this weekend’s Demolition Derby.

This is her first year demoing, and she has done an amazing job. After dealing with some anxiety from her last derby, she came back, worked through it, and got right back in the car.

She helped build her car. She helped paint her car. She ran it. She did well. And more importantly, she kept overcoming obstacles along the way.

Three years ago, our board secretary, Amanda Rice , asked me if I wanted to run her car in the demolition derby. I took that opportunity, and I’m so glad I did.

One of the coolest parts of all of this is seeing the trickle-down effect. Amanda shared a sport she loves with me, and now I get to watch more women step into motorsports, build confidence, learn new skills, and realize they belong there too.

That is how we grow women in motorsports one opportunity, one mentor, and one brave “yes” at a time. 🏁
