Back in December we had a great time bringing supplies to the new Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Animal Shelter ! We got a tour of the new facilities and met the amazing staff that works there. If you are looking for a new addition to your family, come check them out!

2 weeks ago our chapter chose 5 local schools to bless with large umbrellas. These umbrellas will be used to help keep the kiddos and staff dry on those rainy drop off and pick up times. We are so blessed to be part of such a great organization!

Today, the Waynesboro Chapter presented a check for $500 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank! Right now, they have a match going on, so our donation combined with the match will cover 4,000 meals! In addition, we brought a donation of food items, and helped to stock the shelves. Pictured here are Chapter Secretary, Bonnie M., Jenna Dull with the Food Bank, and Chapter President John H.

Day and night, our First Responders selflessly safeguard our homes, our families and our communities. We’ve been a long-time supporter of First Responders, like holding special events in their honor and making donations to benefit them. WoodmenLife Chapter 316 Waynesboro knew we could do more. So, we donated $500 to Preston L. Yancey Fire Department and $250 to Swoope Volunteer Fire Department to serve those who serve us.

As the pandemic goes on, it keeps creating needs in our communities. In many ways, it makes things worse, like the situation homeless people face when it gets colder outside. WoodmenLife Chapter 316 Waynesboro recognized the need and recently donated $500 to Waynesboro Area. Together, we can make a difference for others.

Showing gratitude for these efforts, WoodmenLife Chapter 316 recently made donations to Waynesboro Manor Assisted Living, Waynesboro First Aid Crew, and Valley Mission. Thank you for continuing to serve our community.

COVID-19 has affected our lives in many ways, from school districts contemplating how to best educate our kids, to making existing problems, like our neighbors going hungry, worse. In this historic time, we can lend a hand to organizations helping where it’s needed. That’s why Waynesboro Chapter 316 donated $500 to the Valley Mission Homeless Shelter to help help with COVID-19 relief.
