📸 A trip down memory lane!

This treasured photo shows our Camp Director, Robert Clemmer, with his family on their way to Camp Shenandoah many years ago. What may have seemed like an ordinary trip at the time became part of a lifetime of Scouting memories.

As Cub Scout camp begins this weekend, families across our council are packing bags, loading cars, and heading off on adventures of their own. The memories they create over the next few days—campfires, new friendships, outdoor discoveries, and shared laughter—may be the stories they look back on for decades to come.

Here's to making the next generation of Camp Shenandoah memories. We can't wait to see you at camp!

🎉 Great News! 🎉

Thanks to the power of our community, we are happy to share that the kayak that was recently taken from Camp Shenandoah has been recovered and returned home.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared our post, kept an eye out, and helped spread the word. Your support demonstrates what makes our Scouting community so special. When people come together, amazing things can happen. It was because of YOU that people saw the truck, and kayak, and alerted the police - THANK YOU!

Most importantly, this means one more resource is back where it belongs—helping provide outdoor adventures and unforgettable experiences for the young people we serve.

Again, thank you for standing with Camp Shenandoah and helping us protect the place that means so much to so many Scouts and families.

We wanted to share a few other perspectives of the car coming onto the property.

It is difficult to accept that something meant to serve young people was taken from a place dedicated to their growth and development.

If you have any information, please contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office. They have this same footage and sharing it to their social platforms.

We are asking our community to help bring this kayak home where it belongs—with the Scouts it was meant to serve.

A kayak was recently stolen from Camp Shenandoah. While it may appear to be just a piece of equipment, it represents opportunities for adventure, learning, and growth for the Scouts we serve.

Camp equipment is made possible through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and supporters who believe in providing meaningful outdoor experiences for young people. Incidents like this directly impact those opportunities.

If you have any information regarding the kayak or its whereabouts, please contact the Augusta County Sheriff's Office.

Thank you for helping us protect the resources that make Scouting possible and for supporting the youth who benefit from them every day.
