We've got you - Pipe Welding I: SMAW weekend class this summer, starting June 27!

BRCC currently has scholarship funding to defray the cost of many workforce courses - such as Pipe Welding I: SMAW. Most Virginia residents receive a 2/3 discount on tuition and, for many unemployed individuals or individuals in low paying jobs, courses are free or nearly free!

A survey from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, also released Wednesday, found that food insecurity in the U.S. has reached levels not seen since 2020, in the depths of the pandemic. The agency polls people on whether they are relying on food banks or government assistance for their groceries — or are skipping meals.

A new report shows that nearly half of U.S. households did not earn enough to cover their necessities in 2024.
