Homeless Tails Homeless Tails is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals in northern New Jersey. We all deserve it !

Homeless Tails is a non-profit 501(c)(3) cat rescue organization dedicated to saving and finding loving homes for cats who were abandoned, abused, neglected or simply were not lucky enough to find a forever home. We provide low cost spay/neuter, temporary shelter, adoptions and Trap-Neuter-Return services to all cats in need. Homeless Tails gives a chance to cats life and society were not kind to.

We strive to right the wrong others did. Our mission is to save as many cats as we can and give them a chance to be happy and loved.

Oh Freddy. How we love your gentle, sweet aura. 🤍

Freddy’s journey to the Catfe has been long and winding, but one thing we know without a doubt is that he is absolutely wonderful in a home. Affectionate, cat-friendly, playful, and so very loving.

We would truly love to see our boy Freddy back in a home environment where he can fully relax and shine. He’s a long, lean, gorgeous boy with the most beautiful spotted fur.

Freddy is still opening up at the Catfe, which is completely understandable after so many life changes in such a short life. But through it all, his kind spirit and trust in humans has never diminished.

Nectar is tremendous. Just a few short weeks ago, he was struggling on the streets searching for his next meal. But Nectar made it clear he was ready to retire from that life, and it didn’t take long for his true personality to shine.

This sweet boy is a total Velcro cat who loves being close to his people, and he gets along great with other cats too. Watching him settle into the good life has been such a joy.

SOS 🆘 HOMELESS TAILS IS DESPERATELY SEEKING A BOTTLE FEEDER TO HELP US. We took on 7 bottle feeders but it's a lot for any one person to take on herself. Our bottle feeder is amazing but would love to have a little help. Is there anyone out there that can take on 2 of the 7 babies. They gave taken very well to the bottle and are eating very well .

Chia 🐾 is a superb almost 1-year-old long-haired tabby with the cutest white bib, tiny white “boots” 🤍 and stunning light green eyes 💚✨ She was found abandoned in an apartment in a nearby city 🥺, and although the kind person who rescued her wanted to keep her, their landlord did not allow pets. That’s how this little pixie found her way to us 🏡💞

Chia is smart, curious, mischievous, and endlessly entertaining 😹🐱 She loves stalking other kitties “for fun” and figuring out how to reach them no matter how high up they are 🧗‍♀️✨ She is ALWAYS planning her next move and finding new ways to amuse herself. This girl is EXTREMELY intelligent 💡💛

Some may call her “spicy” 🌶️ — but really, Chia simply knows exactly what she wants and expects you to respect her wishes 👑🐾 She isn’t crazy about other cats (she considers them beneath her 😹), but she absolutely adores people ❤️ Yes, humans are her equals.

Chia is looking for a loving forever home where she can be appreciated for her beauty, brains, and hilarious personality 🏡✨ She would prefer to be the only kitty in the house — thank you very much 😌💅

Lupita is still waiting for her perfect home 💕

When she first came into rescue and landed a coveted spot at the Catfe , she was understandably confused — and to be honest, she made sure we knew it. 😹

But as the days turned into weeks, Lupita slowly started shedding that spicy exterior and letting her playful, sweet side shine through. Watching her transform and grow into her best self has been such a pleasure.

Now she’s ready for the next chapter. We know that in a loving home, Lupita will truly thrive. She just needs someone willing to give her the chance she deserves 🩷.
