Statement from North East Islamic Community Center

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

We stand in deep sorrow and heartfelt solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters following the tragic attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego. We pray for the innocent lives lost in this horrific act of hatred and violence, and we honor the courage of the security guard who selflessly protected worshippers and children during this painful moment.

An attack on any house of worship is not only an attack on a community of faith, but an assault on the sacred dignity of humanity itself. Masajid(mosques), churches, synagogues, temples, and all places of worship should remain sanctuaries of peace, mercy, and safety.

No family should fear attending prayer, and no child should feel unsafe in a house of worship.

As people of faith, we must continue standing together against hatred, violence, and all forms of xenophobia.

Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί taught us that: β€œThe merciful are shown mercy by the Most Merciful.” (Tirmidhi)

Together, we pray for healing, patience (sabr), and strength for the Islamic Center of San Diego, the people of San Diego, and all communities across our nation affected by violence and fear.

We also pray for all first responders, neighbors, faith and community leaders who stood together in the aftermath of this tragedy.

May Allah protect all communities, guide hearts toward peace, and make us among those who spread mercy and justice in the world.

As Eid al-Adha approaches, we invite our community to participate in the beautiful act of Qurbani/Udhiyah and help families in need right here in the United States.

Through our collaboration with Embrace Relief and NEICC, your Qurbani donations will be distributed to individuals and families facing hardship across New Jersey.

You can donate your Qurbani here:

Additionally, if you would like to organize and sponsor a local Qurbani project in your own area or neighborhood, feel free to contact us. NEICC Participates in the Launch of the New Jersey Faith Action Center

NEICC was honored to participate in the launch of the New Jersey Faith Action Center, established under the leadership of New Jersey Lt. Governor & Secretary of State Dr. Dale G. Caldwell.

As part of the program, prayers were offered by representatives of different faith traditions. Imam Gazi Aga of NEICC offered the prayer as the imam speaker for the occasion.

The Faith Action Center aims to bring together faith institutions, community leaders, and public resources to better serve communities, reach those in need, and develop meaningful partnerships across New Jersey.

We pray that this important initiative becomes a source of goodness, compassion, unity, and service for all communities.

Alhamdulillah for a beautiful and heartwarming evening as we gathered to reflect on the life, character, and teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί.

Our Sisters-Only Program was filled with love, reflection, reminders, and a renewed connection to the Messenger of Allah ο·Ί. Together, we remembered his mercy, his patience, his compassion, and the timeless beauty of his example.

The Prophet ο·Ί said:

β€œThe most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.”

May Allah allow us to carry his beautiful character into our homes, families, and communities, and make us among those who truly follow his Sunnah with sincerity and love.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, helped organize, and contributed to making this gathering so meaningful. May Allah reward you all abundantly.
