🌿✨ Summer Mosaic Camp for Adults: Create a 3D Mosaic Heart Garden Stake ✨🌿

Why should kids have all the fun? This summer, spend four creative afternoons at Amy’s Mosaic Studio overlooking the Charles River in Waltham, designing and building your own sparkling 3D mosaic heart garden stake.

Held July 6, 8, 9 & 10, 2026 from 1:00–4:30 pm each day, this immersive workshop guides participants through preparing a 12” styrofoam heart with mesh and thinset, then bringing it to life with colorful mosaic materials on both sides. Choose from provided templates or create a design entirely your own using Amy’s extensive collection of glass, tile, beads, and found objects.

Along the way, enjoy the inspiring studio setting, optional exploration of Moody Street and the Charles River, and even a guided tour of the mosaic panels outside the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation. If your project is complete by the final day, you may even grout your finished piece before taking it home.

Join us for the next Art Circle on thursday, June 4 at 7 PM at the Arts Wayland Gallery, 35 Andrew Ave, Wayland.

This month’s conversation, led by guest facilitator Frank Shear, explores a topic nearly every artist wrestles with: pricing artwork.

“SOLD!”

When your art sells, it can feel deeply validating — proof that your creative work has connected with someone else. But assigning a price to that work can be one of the hardest parts of being an artist.

How do you price your work fairly?
Does time spent matter most?
Size?
Experience?
Market comparisons?
Confidence?

We’ll discuss the emotional and practical sides of selling art, including common pricing advice, personal experiences, and the challenges artists face when balancing creativity and commerce.

All artists and art lovers are welcome.

🌊 Next month is Eco Month at Arts Wayland 🌿

Next month, Arts Wayland invites the community to explore Tides of Change, a new exhibition examining environmental transformation, resilience, and the evolving relationship between people and the natural world. Through visual art, movement, film, and hands-on experiences, the gallery will host eco-themed programming throughout June that sparks conversation around creativity, sustainability, and collective action.

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, June 6 at 5 PM, featuring a special performance by Liquid Spine, whose interdisciplinary work brings attention to the stories and urgency of our water systems. Their performance will include wearable art created from reclaimed ocean debris, along with screenings from the FOR THIS EARTH – Screendance Festival, a curated collection of short films exploring ecology, environmental activism, and the beauty of the natural world.

Come celebrate a month of art inspired by the planet — and imagine what change can look like when creativity leads the way.
