🚒❄️ Please shovel out your fire hydrant!

It only takes a few minutes now, but those minutes can be crucial during a fire. A fire can double in size every minute, and if firefighters lose time digging out a buried hydrant, that delay can mean the difference between a close call and a total loss.

If there’s a hydrant near your home, take a moment to clear it and make sure there’s space all the way around it. Small effort, huge impact.

Your few minutes could save a home — or a life. ❤️🔥

The Wayland Police Association sends its condolences to the Uxbridge Police Department and the family, friends and loved ones of the officer whose life was taken last night while assisting a motorist.

This news comes at a time when people are hopeful for a start of the new year and unfortunately tragedy strikes. All too often this community experiences incidents such as this. We hope the community comes together to support its fellow officers, the fallen officer’s family and loved ones and the Uxbridge Police Department during this time.

The Wayland Police Association is here to support the friends and family of the fallen officer and the members of Uxbridge PD and whatever they may need.

🎖️ Wayland Police Supporting Veterans & Their Families 🇺🇸

The Wayland Police Department is proud to support our nation’s heroes by raising funds for the Run to Home Base program — an incredible organization dedicated to helping Veterans, Service Members, and their Families heal from the invisible wounds of war.

To show our support, we’re selling Wayland Police “Run to Home Base” baseball hats, featuring a custom-designed patch honoring those who have served. All proceeds will go directly to the Home Base Program, which provides world-class clinical care, wellness resources, and support for Veterans and their loved ones affected by post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, and related challenges.

Every hat sold helps make a difference in the lives of those who’ve sacrificed so much for our freedom.

The 2025 Wayland Police Department Autism Acceptance patch has arrived in time for National Autism Acceptance month, Tuesday April 1, 2025 – Wednesday April 30, 2025! As part of the Autism Acceptance Police Patch Program, this patch has been designed to increase awareness and acceptance of Autism. Patches can be purchased for $10 each to benefit the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. The Flutie Foundation reinvests contributions into safety programs focused on keeping people and families affected by Autism safe in their community.

2025 Annual Town Election &Meeting Announcement 📢

By vote of the Select Board on August 26, 2024, the Town of Wayland Annual Town Election is scheduled for April 1, 2025. For information about Annual Town Election, please visit: https://www.wayland.ma.us/town-clerk/pages/elections

By vote of the Select Board on August 26, 2024 and December 2, 2024, the Town of Wayland Annual Town Meeting is scheduled at Wayland High School Field House, 264 Old Connecticut Path, Wayland to be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. and, if needed on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. or as otherwise determined.

The Town Meeting Warrant is now open as of December 9, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. and will close on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.
