I want to give a “Shout Out” to Camp Director Whitney Jensen, Program Director Sarah Estus, SPL Keegan Herzmann, and the rest of the Ingawanis Adventure Base 2026 Summer Camp Staff for all their support last week. This was my fifth year as Director of “Trail to First Class”, a program for first year campers. It was a pleasure to work with the Scouts, and the parents and leaders who sat through and assisted with the training. By the end of the fun filled week, I was a bit exhausted, but I had a smile on my face that would last me for a year. I look forward to seeing all these Scouts at Summer Camp next year as they continue their quest for the rank of Eagle Scout.

We are proud to announce that once again in 2026, Ingawanis Adventure Base is a Nationally Accredited Scout Camp!

It has been an exciting 24 hours at Ingawanis Adventure Base! Yesterday the first 2 new staff cabins were delivered safely to camp! Today they were set in place and electricity trenched to them and connected, plus lots of other projects being worked on throughout camp during today’s workday.
Thank you to everyone that played a part in making all the great things happen at camp!
We can’t wait to welcome campers this summer!

Thanks to our friends at Hawkeye Community College, Sustainable Construction & Design, construction on the first 2 of our new Staff Cabins for Ingawanis Adventure Base is well underway!

Stay tuned for more on the progress of the cabins, and our partnership to help prepare our Summer Camp Staff and College Students for future careers!
