We will be having a Smorgasbord Friday; a little bit of everything with a dessert, Coffee and Water. All for a free-will donation. Suggested donation $8. Carry-out meals may be picked up between 11:30-noon.

Lunch will follow the guest speaker.

JOIN US AT THE WAVERLY SENIOR CENTER during the Waverly Iowa Cruise Night, Thursday, May 28. We will be serving from 5-7 p.m.
As part of our Hot Dogs for Hot Rods fundraiser, we will be serving a hot dog, chips, a cookie, and a drink for only $10. Make it a chili dog for only $12. Kids 10 and under can eat for half-price.

11:30 a.m. - Comfort Food Friday & Guest Speaker Jennifer Lancaster. Lancaster will be presenting an introduction to using the Heimlich Maneuver, CPR and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). This is an introductory session. It is not a certification class.

We will be serving Grilled Chicken Salad with Croutons, Strawberries and Toasted Pecans, Jane's Cheesy Garlic Bread, Tapioca Pudding, Coffee and Water. All for a free-will donation. Suggested donation $8. Carry-out meals may be picked up between 11:30-noon.

LAST WEEKEND'S COOKING CLASS WITH CHEF JOSH was a great success.
One participant said, "Thank you Chef Josh! We had fun and learned a lot! Came home and made some for our family! We will definitely keep an eye out for classes to come!"
This was the first of several Cooking Classes with Chef Josh to be offered at the Waverly Senior Center. Keep an eye on our page and website for more opportunities.

KITCHEN HELP WANTED!

The Waverly Senior Center is looking to hire a part-time, Kitchen/Event Assistant. This is a paid position.

Duties include food prep, meal set-up, and assisting with special events.

Applicants must be familiar with a working kitchen, enthusiastic, flexible and eager to multitask!

The person will work six-ten hours per week, 9-11:30, Monday and Thursday mornings. The person may possibly work 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m., one Friday a month. Additional time may be available for special events.
