506 East Bremer Ave, Waverly, IA 50677 The Waverly Senior Center was founded in 1965 in a small log cabin in Waverly.

The size of the cabin soon became too small for the population using it. In 1970, the Senior Center purchased Mitchell Manor, which has been the home of the Waverly Senior Center ever since. It is the only Senior Center in Bremer County. The Senior Center offers a wide variety of activities for seniors (55+) including bingo, exercise classes, men's and women's coffee, Comfort Food Fridays, Monday Movie Matinees and more. The Senior Center can be rented as meeting space, or for celebrations, on weekends and when not in use for regular operations.

We will be serving Lasagna, Garden Salad with dressing, Angel Food Cake with Strawberries and Cool Whip, Tea, Coffee and Water. All for a free-will donation. Suggested donation of $8.

Carry-out meals may be picked up between 11:30-noon.

The mural features an American Goldfinch and several Wild Prairie Roses; Iowa's state bird and state flower.

JOIN US AT THE WAVERLY SENIOR CENTER TONIGHT (Sept. 24) FOR HOT DOGS FOR HOT RODS during this summer's final Waverly Iowa Cruise Night. We will be serving from 5-7 p.m.

As part of our Hot Dogs for Hot Rods fundraiser, we will be serving a hot dog, chips, a cookie, and a drink for only $10. Make it a chili dog for only $12. New this month you can also get a bowl of chili, chips, a cookie and a drink for only $12.00 for adults. Add a hot dog with the chili, chips, cookie and drink for only $15.00. Kids 10 and under can eat for half-price.

You are also welcome to sit on our lawn and watch the cars go by.

Look for the lady in the hot dog hat waving pool noodles to wave you in. We also have a friendly crew ready to serve you.
