I would love to give a big shout out to the volunteers for all of their hard work this weekend! We did a fall clean up to get the outside kennels cleaned and checked for the winter. All the kennels were power washed, new water buckets placed in the kennels and small repairs were made to the kennels. All of the dogs were so happy to have the extra attention for the day! We had two dogs who needed extra care due to neglected coat care. It had caused skin tears and had to be addressed. One of the volunteers drove several hours to a rescue so they could get a higher level of care. Within an hour, four dogs were dropped off. We vetted them and got them settled into a kennel. It was a great day to help the pound, walk dogs and enjoy the weather. We will need to replace five dog houses before winter.
