The Pike County Health Coalition would like to thank Waverly City School District for completing the OHYES! survey assessment yesterday for the 11th, 9th, and 7th grade students. We look forward to the partnership we continue to develop for the youth. They were the first school in Pike County to provide this survey assessment to student. Thank you to all of those individuals at Waverly City Schools who were involved and proactive about the needs of health behaviors in youth development.

The Pike County Health Coalition is working with local school districts to administer the OHYES! survey assessment. This survey is a state initiative led by OhioMHAS, ODE and ODH. Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!) is a youth survey assessment designed to measure the health risk behaviors and environmental factors that impact youth health and safety.

Listed are 3 ways this benefits your kids:
1. Community organizations will be able to write proposals for grants to fund youth prevention programs across Pike County.
2. Allows schools and coalition organizations to provide resources for at risk youth behaviors based on data findings.
3. Gives your child a voice regarding what is happening in their community and to identify current issues impacting their daily lives at school.
