We had a great opportunity to present at the San Benito County Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee meeting and share information about California’s Master Plan for Aging, SBC Volunteers, and ways we can strengthen connections for older adults and adults with disabilities in our community.

Seniors Council Executive Director Clay Kempf and Corey Shaffer were honored to present together and highlight the collaborative work taking place throughout San Benito County to support aging well, volunteer engagement, community connection, and access to local resources.

A special thank you to the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the invitation and for the important work you do to promote inclusion, understanding, and community engagement throughout San Benito County.

Building a community where everyone feels connected, valued, and supported takes all of us working together. We appreciate the opportunity to share resources, volunteer opportunities, and local initiatives that help make San Benito County a great place to age well.

Together, we can continue building stronger connections and a more vibrant future for all.

❤️ Thank you for having us!

Today we were recognized by the San Benito County - Government San Benito County Board of Supervisors with an official proclamation declaring May 2026 as Older Americans Month in San Benito County.

This recognition shines a light on the importance of supporting older adults, caregivers, volunteers, and the organizations working every day to strengthen our community.

As San Benito County continues to experience one of the fastest-growing senior populations in California, collaboration, compassion, and community partnerships matter more than ever.

Thank you to the Board of Supervisors, the Aging & Long Term Care Commission, community partners, volunteers, and everyone dedicated to improving the lives of older adults in San Benito County.

Together, we are building a stronger, more age-friendly community for all. 💙

We are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of Hollister for the warm welcome and the opportunity to present on the San Benito County Master Plan for Aging and the San Benito Connect Volunteers program.

It was an honor to share the important work being done to support older adults, strengthen community connections, and expand volunteer engagement throughout San Benito County.

A special thank you as well for the thoughtful gifts commemorating the Hollister Rotary Club’s 100th Anniversary (1925–2025). The Rotary 4-Way Test and the message “Unite for Good” are such meaningful reminders of the values that help strengthen our communities. 💙💛

Thank you for your continued service, leadership, and commitment to making a difference in our community.
