August 2, 1946 - August 2, 2026 ... 80 years of the Watervliet Civic Center!

Since opening our doors in 1946, the Civic Center has been a place where generations have come together to learn, play, grow, and create lasting memories!

As we celebrate 8 decades of service, we extend our gratitude to every child, parent, volunteer, staff, and community member who have helped shape the Watervliet Civic Center into what it is today.

Community Corner: Watervliet Civic Center celebrates 80 years

With the FIFA World Cup taking place for the first time in the USA since 1994, we decided to host our own Civic Center Soccer Tournament for ages 7-12.

Campers spent the last week showing off their soccer skills, practicing teamwork, competing in friendly yet competitive matches, as well as cheering on fellow campers.

Huge shoutout to Mr. Anthony for putting together such a fun and rewarding event that gave our campers the chance to experience a little World Cup magic right here at the Civ!

After the tournament, we held an award ceremony to celebrate the campers who participated, the ones who were a special referee.. or just a fan in the crowd!

Looking forward to more summer camp adventures!

☀️ Week 4 is Underway at the Watervliet Civic Center! ☀️

Week 4 of Summer Camp is officially underway, and we've been having an absolute blast! From exciting games and creative activities to sports, arts & crafts, outdoor fun, and making new friendships, our campers have been making the most of every day. We can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!

⚾ ValleyCats Camp Day is This Wednesday! ⚾

We're excited to be participating in ValleyCats Camp Day this Wednesday!

🎟️ Cost: $20 per camper

**Regarding lunch:**

Each camper will receive a complimentary meal from the ValleyCats, which includes:
🌭 Hot Dog
🥔 Chips
🥤 Drink

**🚫👎 We are not allowed to bring outside food/beverages inside of the stadium**

✅ Enjoy the complimentary ValleyCats meal
✅ Bring spending money to purchase additional food, drinks, souvenirs, or other ballpark items

🏊 Swim Test Reminder (Ages 7–12)

Children who would like to swim in the deep end at the Watervliet Pool must complete a swim test.

📅 Tomorrow, June 27
🕘 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
📍 Watervliet Pool

If your child is unable to attend tomorrow’s swim test or does not pass, they will have another opportunity to retest on July 13 during regular camp program hours.

We are incredibly thankful for the amazing support from our community! At this time, the Watervliet Civic Center Summer Camp Program has officially reached FULL CAPACITY for the 2026 season. 🎉

Any registrations submitted starting today will be placed on our waiting list. If openings become available, families will be contacted in the order registrations are received.
