We are saddened and heartbroken to hear of the loss of Joe Fama from Tap Inc. Joe and his beautiful wife Barbara were our biggest supporters and instrumental in the success of Empty Bowls. For years Tap Inc was our non profit partner. Joe and Barbara took on the administrative work so us potters could focus on bowl making. Their support, along with Barbara Reeley and her late husband Dennis Smith, are the reasons we are still going. And I’m sure Joe and Dennis are somewhere together talking baseball and the Yankees.

Joe’s smile lit up a room, his laughter was infectious, and his words made you feel safe.

The world lost a great soul, but the sky gained a brilliant star. Our thoughts, prayers, and love go out to Barbara, their daughter Kate, their entire family, and all who were touched by Joe.
