“We believe that football is for everyone.” 🖤🏈🩶

That commitment, shared by Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan, is exactly why we just honored Allegiant Stadium, the Las Vegas Stadium Authority, and the Las Vegas Raiders with our 2026 Barrier-Free America Award ( )! 🏆

The ceremony, which recently took place at the perfect time, our 80th anniversary, also reminds our community why PVA has spent eight decades fighting for a world where and every person, regardless of ability, can fully participate in society.

Eighty years ago, PVA started with a gathering like this 🇺🇸

That’s right, in 1946, 70 gathered to found PVA. Today, we’re proud to continue that tradition by assembling at our Annual Convention to honor their legacy, celebrate our community alongside friends like Pin-Ups For Vets and the Shadow Ridge High School United States Air Force JROTC, and shape the future of our organization.

community, this moment is long overdue, and we urgently need your help! 🚨

Next week, House Democrats and House Republicans will vote on a bill that impacts thousands of heroes and their loved ones: the Sharri Briley and Eric Edmundson Benefits Expansion Act.

Despite the fact that this proposed legislation would honor the sacrifices of those who have served and military families, PVA is expecting considerable opposition.

That’s why it’s extremely important that you contact your representative via this link now and strongly encourage them to support H.R. 6047: https://bit.ly/42ybnoB.

For 80 years, PVA has been on Capitol Hill, and so much of that progress has only been possible because people like you took action when it mattered most.

Today is one of those moments. Please make your voice heard.

For Justin, losing power meant losing independence 🌪️

After unexpectedly shifted toward Grovetown, Georgia, Justin, a U.S. Army and Paralyzed Veterans of America Southeastern Chapter member, found himself trapped in a home that was no longer fully without electricity to power the assistive technology he relied on, like his stair lift.

But hope was not lost for Justin.

Through PVA’s Disaster Relief Fund and community, Justin was able to regain his independence and secure tools to help protect it during future storms—a critical reminder that PVA not only shows up for in moments of recovery, but also in moments of crisis.

Eighty years together…and yes, we remembered our anniversary 🎊

Today, PVA celebrates eight decades of helping with spinal cord injuries and disorders through advocacy, benefits assistance, research, and more. While some people may call it our 80th birthday, we like to think of it as an anniversary with the members, donors, , and families who have helped shape our community along the way.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and hope you’ll join us for our next chapter.

If PVA has been part of your story so far, we’d love to hear about it in the comments 💬
