A Pennsylvania parent raised concerns about a troubling antisemitism glossary published by the state Department of Education.

NAVI worked with the parent and our partners at StopAntisemitism, with support from Nagen, to bring the issue to public attention.

Within days, the Pennsylvania Department of Education removed the entire glossary.

And now, the Department says it is reviewing its other materials in response to the concerns raised. This is what happens when parents have the tools, partners, and infrastructure to turn concerns into action.

A California teacher’s marriage controversy became a national headline. But the discussions surrounding her public statements raise a larger question: when does classroom education cross into political activism?

When educators bring political movements into schools, where is the line between teaching students about an issue and convincing them to take a side?

Today, NAVI is launching the new K-12 Extremism Heat Map in partnership with Stop Hate in Schools — an interactive tool that brings our K-12 Extremism Tracker data to life.

Every documented incident, organization, and developing story is now mapped — helping parents, educators, and concerned citizens better understand where patterns are emerging across the country.
Explore incidents by location, learn what happened, see which organizations were involved, and access the full Tracker reports.

An activist organization accused of maintaining ties to hostile foreign regimes shouldn’t have a pathway into America’s classrooms.

Yet that’s exactly what our investigation exposes.

CODEPINK isn’t just protesting in the streets. Its activists are training public school teachers, publishing classroom materials through one of the nation’s largest teachers unions, and encouraging lessons that reach students across the country.

This is about who is shaping what our children learn and whether parents know it’s happening.

Watch this, then decide for yourself.

Follow NAVI for documented investigations into the activist networks, teacher trainings, and classroom materials influencing America’s K-12 schools.

Four states—California, Illinois, Minnesota and Pennsylvania—now require teachers to master a framework that labels their own school “inherently racist” just to keep their license. Here’s how we fix it. 👇

You won’t find Culturally Responsive Education on a syllabus. It doesn’t show up in a permission slip or a back-to-school night slideshow. CRE gets decided long before any of that—in the training teachers go through before they ever meet your kid.

That’s why it took us months to document. Read what we found in our report, The Hidden Curriculum: How “Culturally Responsive Education” Was Built into Public Education. Link in bio.

Foreign governments have sent at least $67 billion to U.S. universities. Hostile regimes like China and Qatar are among the donors—and current law barely requires schools to say what that money buys.

The DETERRENT Act would close that gap. It’s already cleared the House twice with bipartisan support. Now it needs the Senate. This isn’t about shutting down academic collaboration—it’s about knowing who’s funding American classrooms and why. Swipe through, then tell your senator where you stand. Link in bio.

CODEPINK built one of the most effective activist brands in America—grandmothers, pink shirts, peace signs.

Here’s what the branding doesn’t show you: federal investigations, ties to a Chinese-based billionaire, trips to Tehran, and lesson plans now sitting on one of the largest teachers’ union platforms in the country.

This isn’t a fringe group. It’s in the curriculum pipeline with direct access to your child. Share this with a parent you think needs to know.

Most parents don’t expect to become education advocates.

They just want to know what’s happening in their child’s classroom—and to have their questions taken seriously.

Across the country, more parents are raising concerns about political activism in K-12 classrooms, a lack of transparency around curriculum and instructional materials, and feeling shut out of decisions that affect their children’s education.

Many don’t know where to turn—or how to make their voices heard.

That’s why NAVI is expanding its work in Pennsylvania.

By equipping parents with research, practical resources, and opportunities for constructive civic engagement, we’re helping families participate more effectively in conversations about education in their own communities.

Swipe to learn why Pittsburgh is the next chapter in that work.
