Today we celebrated our volunteers at FRIENDSWAY! We gathered together to honor all of the hard work our volunteers do all year long, to show them our appreciation.

Today, we got to be creative and have a nice lunch together. Here is a little peak at our creations! Lunch, as always, was lovely at The Valley Country Club in Warwick.

It takes a special person to volunteer at FRIENDSWAY, and we’re always looking to add members to our crew. We’ll be holding a volunteer training in the next couple weeks. Send Amy a message if you’d like to sign up!

Hi friends & neighbors of FRIENDSWAY! It has come to our attention that folks in our neighborhood community are concerned about the trees that have been cut down in our parking lot. Please know, FRIENDSWAY's mission is to help grieving children and families in Rhode Island, not to cut down trees. While it saddens us that the trees have been cut down, they were cancerous and beginning to destroy some of the pipes that affect the sewage in the community. This was NOT a decision made by us, but by our governing partners. We hope you understand that we will continue to serve our community grievers as best we can.

Last week was a little different for some of the members of FRIENDSWAY team. Our operations manager and program director traveled to Delaware to attend the Foundations of Eagala Training! Tonight is the night! We gather together at our Diamonds In the Sky Gala to celebrate the beautiful work that we do at FRIENDSWAY! FRIENDSWAY has had an amazing opportunity to partner with -- we held our second EGALA Horse Assisted Therapeutic Group last night where we were given the opportunity with our therapy horses, to explore the road to resilience. Our families got to explore together, how the road twists and turns, and they even declared "sometimes you end up in a round-about and have to go back where you started!"

We are incredibly grateful for this exciting new opportunity and with another way to help support our grieving families
