Benton County Missouri Museum and Historical Society The Benton County Historical Society was started in 1969 & now includes our local Benton Co. Museum. The Museum is OPEN during the hours shown.

Friday-Saturday 10am-4pm
Sunday 1-4pm

Admission:
$3 adults
$2 seniors and children ages 4-12
FREE - Benton County Historical Society members

The Benton County Museum is managed by a Board of Directors that is elected by the general membership. Annual meetings are held in November each year. Membersh

ip meetings are normally held every other month (odd months) at the Boonslick Regional Library in Warsaw, MO the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm. We have programs of general interest at those meetings. Watch our FB page & the Benton County Enterprise for announcements. Board meetings are held on the Second Friday of even months.

Our new addition has allowed us room to have displays that are bigger & better than ever with more to come. So much to cover in Benton County history - steamboats, railroad, gunstock factories, story of the Kaysinger/Truman Dam, being spoonbill capital of the world & SO much more.
We ARE open for the season - Fridays & Saturdays 10-4 & Sundays 1-4pm & now accept credit/debit cards, cash or check for admission. Benton County Historical Society members get in FREE, so if you'd like to visit multiple times throughout the season, consider an annual or lifetime membership.

Docent reception: The BCHS will be hosting a reception for our wonderful docents on Monday, June 22nd at 10:00 am at the Museum.
During this year's construction & other challenges, we appreciate all of your work - greeting visitors to the museum, setting up displays, cleaning, helping with school tours & so much more. The board truly could not do it without you.
