Receives 50 Year Masonic Membership Certificate
November 11, 2022

At 11:00 A M on Veterans Day, November 11, 2022, Freemasons from Shawnee Lodge #653 A. F. & A. M. including the District Deputy Grand Master of the 31st District of the Grand Lodge of the state of Missouri, Right Worshipful Brother Roger Weter and the Secretary of Shawnee Lodge, Jack Novacek and various member of the Lincoln Community met in the narrow confines of Wright’s Lawn & Garden in Lincoln, MO, to pay homage to and celebrate the presentation of a Certificate recognizing 50 years of Membership in the Freemason’s to Worshipful Brother Wilbur D. Wright, accompanied by his devoted wife, Frances.
Brother Weter read a collection of Masonic principals by which all Freemasons work and live expounding the achievements and service experienced by all who accomplish this lofty goal.
Brother Novacek read the distinguished Masonic record of Bro. Wright, who received the First, Second and Third Degrees as a Master Mason with Ceremonies performed at the Cole Camp Lodge #595 where Brother Wright was a member and Past Worshipful Master. until relinquishing its Charter in 1993. Since then Bro. Wright has maintained his membership in Shawnee Lodge #653 in Warsaw. Significant to his Masonic accomplishments is his Service to our Country as a soldier in the United States Army.
The 50 Year Membership Certificate and Jewel were presented by Right Worshipful Brother Roger Weter.

Tonight at 7 pm Shawnee Lodge #653 will have its regular stated communication. It is also Past Masters night. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. All past masters come and grab a chair.

Tonight at 7:00pm we will have our first stated communication since March. Per grand lodge we will only open in the 1st degree. Hope to see everyone there.

A special presentation was made to Dick Lewis by Worshipful Master Roger Weter in recognition of Dick’s service to Freemasonry and his honorable service
to this nation as a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. Dick was one of thirty-one members of Shawmee Lodge #653 recently so recognized by the Missouri Grand Lodge and the Masonic Home of Missouri.

Congratulations to Dick and all of our Veterans and Thank You.

Tuesday December 10th at 6pm, we will host The Missouri Masonic Home for their Veterans Honor Ceremony. American Legion post #217 will be invited to provide an honor guard and there will be refreshments provided. All are invited and encouraged to attend. This event will be open to the public.

Tomorrow at 7pm we will have our regular stated communication. We will be having fried catfish and sides at 6. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
