Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know FISH's food pantry is open 3 days a week? Tuesday/Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings we are movin', groovin' and welcoming people with genuine compassion and kindness.

Last night's session was full of fun music, lots of hard working adult & teen volunteers, and so much good, nutritious food going out the door to feed families in our community.

Even better? There's no requirement to visit, other than Fauquier County residency. We want to make sure ANY family who needs help can get it, without jumping through hoops!

Not only is FISH supported by so many kind, and caring individuals across Fauquier County, but we also have the BEST next door neighbors!

Shout out to VAMAC Inc. for selecting FISH as the recipient of their recent charity golf tournament; and to Maurice Electrical Supply who is always willing to use their forklift to help us get items from our box truck into our warehouse!

We spent many years dreaming about 'the perfect space' to call home. These two organizations sure do make it feel extra special!

Good Morning, Friends! While each of our power packs contains hearty, meal-based ingredients, anyone with kids knows that they LOVE a good snack.

Right now, our snack shelves are looking empty! Check out our Amazon Wishlist and help us stock up before the 4-day weekend ahead!

Your donation will be mailed directly to FISH and will definitely bring a little extra cheer to the 500+ students we feed each week! ☺️☺️

Today, FISH delivered power packs to 77 HM Pearson Pandas, ensuring these kiddos have nutritious food to enjoy over the weekend.

But that wasn't the only food making its way through the school!

We were thrilled to see the AMAZING pile of donations Pearson has collected for the Stuff the Bus initiative, benefiting our friends at the Fauquier Community Food Bank and Thrift Store. Such a wonderful reminder that caring for our community is a team effort!

Our schools do so much more than educate our children. They bring families, neighbors, and organizations together to make sure no one is left behind.

At Fauquier FISH, we're proud to work alongside the Fauquier Food Bank, Fauquier County Public Schools, and so many others to help make sure families know there are people and places they can turn to when they need a helping hand. 💛💚💙

Healthy food should be accessible to everyone, regardless of circumstance. We are so fortunate that our friends at the Fauquier Education Farm agree! Check out the beautiful cabbage, kale, & peppers that our clients get to take home this week. Yum!

The Transitions Program is such an asset to our volunteer community here at FISH! Each week they prep items for our food pantry families and always bring a positive, upbeat attitude to every task! These young adults are a wonderful example of service to others!

Shout out to our friends at Oak Spring Garden Foundation! They are outside on this beautiful morning greeting clients and treating them to tastings of a delicious 6-bean soup, complete with kits to take home and make their own pot!

Thankful for our community partners who support our efforts to ensure everyone in our community has access to healthy, nutritious food! 🥰 😍

We love seeing community members turn compassion into action!

Recently, a lovely young woman in our community approached Fauquier FISH with an idea for a hygiene supply drive. Since then, she has taken the initiative to bring her idea to life, helping us collect essential hygiene items - supplies we can only offer our clients when they are donated.

Let’s come together to support this young lady's efforts and show her just how much one thoughtful idea can accomplish!

Have hygiene items to share? Drop off at one of the locations listed below, or reach out and she will arrange to have items picked up! (Jillian Sanchez).

Another successful Weekend Power Pack, with 489 bags of food packed and delivered for children to take home ahead of the 3 day weekend!

It was a pleasure hosting the Sophomore Class of Highland School last week during their day of service! These teens worked hard to ensure everything needed for our Power Pack, Pantry, and Senior Services programs were fully stocked and ready to go! Love that they were also able to assist our friends at the Fauquier Education Farm and Fauquier Community Coalition - FCC - two other critical non-profits in our community. Teamwork continues to make the dream work!
