It takes the generosity of many businesses, big and small to put together Crate Escape’s 4th Annual Quarter Auction. We want to thank them all and give a special shout out to BJ's Wholesale Club for sponsoring this year’s snack bar. Thanks to them all our attendees are welcome to a nice spread of refreshments throughout the event. 😋

Getting out of the shelter is only half the battle these days, getting better and finding a place to do so is other half. 😞

Sheba is an 8 year old retriever mix that has been fighting an ear infection since she arrived. Unfortunately the infection hasn’t responded ti conventional treatments so she is now on a special daily medication for her ears as well as an antibiotic. Now that she has a treatment plan in place Sheba just needs a place to recover. Placing her in boarding would not only setback her recovery, but we also would not be able to monitor her progress and change house need be.

This girl has proven to be a great low key house guest. She gets along with everyone animals and humans. Sheba doesn’t require an excessive amount of exercise or stimulation. She’s pretty content just hanging out. Sheba will even bring her own food and treats along to her new foster home as she is on a special diet to help minimize the yeast in her ears. If you can help this girl out please email [email protected] today,

Look who was adopted!

Little Ellie’s canine buddy passed away and she has been asking her mom for a new canine sibling. Ellie is a pup that really thrives off of canine companionship and Griffon, well Griffon just thrives in general. This happy go lucky guy was more than willing to step into the role of big bro for Little Ellie. The two hit it off instantly and just like that another happily ever after began. Congrats and happy tails Griffon!

Thank you to Patti and Greg for giving this boy a place to stay until his forever family came his way!

Her smile does not overshadow her exuberance for life!

Catalina came into rescue as a medical case. She was hit by a car and left for animal control to pick up. Her main injuries were a broken pelvis and fracture/luxation at the base of her tail. The good news is that this girl’s pelvis healed impeccably, however the fracture at the base of her tail left her without feeling in her tail. Unfortunately this meant that her tail had to be amputated to prevent her from eventually chewing it off.

What she lacks in a tail she sure makes up for in personality. Catalina loves anyone and everyone. She shows it by showering you with kisses and hugs. Like most young labs her enthusiasm for life sometimes results in jumpy behaviors. While she has made great strides with curbing this behavior in her foster home she will need an adoptive family that can continue providing her with that structure and guidance. Catalina is a half glass full kind of girl. She is always up for a walk, doggy playtime, fetch or whatever fun activities life brings her way. Let it be known that she is no couch potato and will need a fairly routine exercise regiment. She is doing well with her house and crate training, but leash skills are still a work in progress. If you love labs and don’t mind a missing tail Catalina just may be the pup for you. Email [email protected] today to setup a meet with this happy girl!

Look who was adopted!

We usually average at least one senior a pull and seeing them find their happily ever after never gets old. Charlie is such a sweet, humble, well rounded boy. He deserves all the love and joy life has to offer, and that is exactly what he is going to get with his new mom. Congrats and happy tails Charlie!

Thank you and congrats to Sarah for stepping up and hosting Charlie as a first time foster. You have successfully saved a life!

Welcome Ethan to the adoption circuit!

We didn’t know if this newbie would be ready so soon, but Ethan has proven to be a lot more adaptable than some of his other siblings rescued from the property. Although he has adapted quite easily to home life we would still consider him to be on the shyer side. Ethan has just experienced so little of the world in his year of life that he is cautious with every new experience and friendship. Unsurprisingly this boy loves other pups. He is well socialized in the canine world and even does quite well with the felines. Unlike most young labs Ethan isn’t an overly active pup. He actually is quite even tempered and low key. Some skills came quite easily to Ethan such as house and leash training, while others like crate training have been difficult. For the most part he is well mannered in and outside the home, but a family that’s going to continue building on his social skills would be ideal. As of now Ethan is 70lbs and 1-2 years old. If you think could be this pup’s forever family email [email protected] today!

This queen is looking for her throne!

If they call small pups “pint sized”, we may have to refer to Suki as “shot glass sized”. This little lady weighs in at 6lbs and is about a year old. Suki is certainly living up to her stereotype of being a companion. She loves people and enjoys spending her time with them. Her leash skills are decent, but her potty skills are a work in progress. With such a tiny bladder it can be hard for her to hold it for an extended amount of time, but she is good to find her p*e p*e pad of needed. Suki seems to be well socialized with everyone. She is pretty adaptable to any environment and doesn’t need a whole lot of exercise. If you think you could be Suki’s forever family email [email protected] today!
