Jace is ready to make his case on why he should be residing at your place!

This 12 week old low rider is what we guess to be a Dachshund/Chihuahua/ Beagle mix, in other words super cute pup. Have loves everyone people, pups and felines included. Despite his tiny little legs he loves to take walks and romp around with the bigger pups. Jace is doing well with his basic skills of house, crate and leash training. The shelter has just taken in 50+ pups from one property. Intake has been closed an until further notice due to the limited amount of space in the shelter. There are pups of all ages and sizes. Training status is unknown as they have lived their life outside. They do seem to be good with other pups, but shy with humans as contact with them was minimal. So many places, so many faces but none to call his own…😞

We knew getting him out of the shelter was only half the battle. Once they are out no one seems to care anymore. What people don’t realize is that it leaves pups like Fezz in limbo. He doesn’t know what or where “home” is, or who “his people” are. While he is physically out of the shelter, he still remains in that same lonely chapter. Fezz needs a place of stability, structure, and guidance to be the best pup he can be, not in some kennel.

If there was ever a pup that warranted a second chance, it’s Fezz. This boy needs a fresh start and a family with an extra big heart. He loves his people, puppy pals, playing fetch, long walks and stealing snacks off the table. Fezz enjoys being involved in whatever activity is going on, as he truly is a velcro pup. He does well in social settings or one on one. He likes to wind down with a kong, belly rubs, a nice chew or a combination of the sort. His leash skills are good when using a no pull harness, and he sleeps in his crate overnight.

Cash is ready to settle in with his forever family!

This 1 year old schaunzer/poodle mix weighs in at about 20lbs. He’s a happy go lucky guy, and he certainly wants to go! Despite being a pint sized pup he packs a lot of fun energy into each day. Cash is always up for meeting new friends, joining in on social activities and exploring any new adventures life sends his way. While he may look like something that sits on your grandma’s lap all day, that’s definitely not his style. Cash loves to take walks and play with his puppy friends. Strike three, and they tell me not to take it personally….

It’s like the “it’s not you, it’s me” break ups. Rather it’s true or not rejection still stings. The optimist will tell you every cloud has a silver lining, but that doesn’t mean the sun is shining.

The sun didn’t quite shine bright enough on Aubrey as she went into her third meet and greet. Just like the ones in the past they went well, but at the end of the day it wasn’t meant to be. Although it’s probably for the best it leaves everyone feeling a bit defeated.

When pups have medical needs or behavioral issues we can rationalize why they may tend to stay on the adoption circuit for an extended amount of time, but a pup like Aubrey is puzzling. She’s great with her canine friends and kiddos. Her adaptability and training skills have been on point since she entered foster care. Personality wise you won’t find a friendlier or more outgoing girl rather it be inside the home or greeting new friends out on walks. Overall she is a great well balanced pup, but so far her biggest hurdle has been winning over an adoptive family. If you think that family could be you email [email protected] today!

Houston, we have a problem….
This cute puppy still needs a family!

Saturn is about 5 months old, and his breed mix is as beautiful and mysterious as space itself. This boy has settled into his foster home with ease and eagerly joined in on social activities which included pups, kiddos, and adults. Although he is still a pup Saturn has a more mature personality. He is starting to learn the basic skills of crate, house and leash training with great success. She a black dog, she’s over 50lbs, she had heartworm, and she had about 0% chance of leaving the shelter….

It’s easy for a pup like Orange Blossom to find her way into the shelter system, but nearly impossible for her to find a way out. There are just way too many variables working against a pup like her. There are just so many pups that look exactly her in the same circumstance, needing the same help.

We like to think bringing these pups into rescue will help highlight them, but the truth is they still struggle to gain attention on the adoption circuit. Orange Blossom is not an exception to this trend.

At 3 years old this girl is finally looking to a start the next chapter of her life. Her social skills are top notch with humans and other pups. Her butt will wiggle and her tail will go a million miles an hour when greeting new friends. Orang Blossom seems to have basic knowledge of skills such as crate, leash and house training. We can’t know for sure if she was once part of someone’s family, but it kind of seems like that could be the case.

This girl is energetic and enjoys burning that energy playing fetch, romping around with canine friends or taking a stroll. She would love a family with a current canine friend or maybe a day or two of daycare during the week. Orange Blossom is very eager to please and is extremely loyal. If you think he looks cute, you should see him waddle!

Max is just adorably indescribable. He looks like he came out of sci-fi move, but in the cutest way. He’s tiny weighing in just at 10lbs, and although he’s 9 years old there is a lot of pep in this boy’s step. Max loves to go for walks, explore the parks, play with his puppy pals and take on whatever adventure awaits him next. He’s a mini man on a mission and doesn’t want to slowed down. Like many pint sized pups sometimes Max thinks he’s “mighty” and needs reminders that he is indeed a little pup, and not king of the castle. Jupiter is out of this world, and looking for his orbit!

Those big ears could can draw almost anyone in, and his dazzling personality keeps them close. This boy is only about 5 months old, but his social skills are super sharp. He loves all people, pups, and can learn to respect the feline friends. Because he’s still young he will need a family that can continue building on his basic skills of house, crate and leash training.

Jupiter is an affectionate outgoing guy. He enjoys walks through the autumn leaves, playtime with his puppy friends and some good human companionship.
