Service in action!!! We had the privilege of loving on our Carpenters Shelter family yesterday, June 7, 2026. We provided BBQ pulled chicken (courtesy of Mission BBQ in Waldorf), green beans, potato salad, rolls, and tea for dinner. We give a big shout of "THANKS" to Iris Davis, and her daughter Brittany Towns for coming out and giving of their time. "Spirit To Serve "

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You! 💙

Our Place Waldorf Soup Kitchen would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Andre & April Ford of Empact Ministries and all of their dedicated volunteers for their incredible act of kindness and service.

On June 1, 2026, this amazing team prepared and donated 100 "To Go" bags filled with non-perishable food items for our guests. Their generosity, compassion, and commitment to helping others make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Because of community partners like Empact Ministries and their volunteers, we are able to continue providing hope, nourishment, and support to individuals and families in need throughout our community.

Thank you, Andre, April, and every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart to this effort. Your service is truly appreciated, and your impact will be felt by many.

What an amazing weekend of service. This past Saturday, Empact Ministries put together 100 non-perishable "To Go" bags to support Our Place Waldorf. Each bag contained nonperishable food items, cutlery, and 2 bottles of water (total of 12 items). We would like to give a "Shout Out" of thanks to our dedicated volunteers - Johnathan and Kristina Paxton, Brenda Morton, Minister Alex Turner, Jackie White, Faith Bonham, and our son Andre Ford. And, of course, a special 'Thanks!' and appreciation to Calvary Gospel Church for the use of the facilities. Thank you all for your continued support! Giving all glory to God! Spirit to Serve!

We will be putting together 100 nonperishable food bags to be donated to Our Place Waldorf. Each bag will contain two bottles of water, and 1 each of the nonperishable food items listed below. What a great day!!!! We had a wonderful time loving on our veterans at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. We loved on them with ice cream, pound cake, fruit tray and drinks. Great job!!!! to Johnathan Paxton for officiating the bingo game. A big thank you to Victor McGee, Robert Bronaugh, Bryce Lawson and Andre Ford for volunteering your time. We can't give enough thanks to God for His blessings as we once again were able to deliver fellowship breakfast to the gentlemen at Robert Fuller Transition House in Waldorf, MD on April 18, 2026. We would like to thank Iris Davis and Brittany Towns for picking up and delivering the meals from IHOP in Waldorf, MD. Through Him we are blessed to be a blessing to others! Spirit To Serve.

Not sure what happened to my initial post but here we go! This is the way to spend Resurrection Sunday! God had blessed us on this Resurrection Day to serve our Carpenter Shelter family a delicious meal of fried chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese, green beans and dinner rolls. The meal was a big hit as some of the 47 children plus their parents and staff came through the serving line for second and, in some cases, third helpings of the meal! What a blessing to experience this! We want to give a big 'Thank you!' to Gayle Curry for preparing the macaroni and cheese, Iris Davis and Brittany Towns, for coming on-site to assist Andre and April Ford in serving the meals and to all of you that continue to support our efforts to support those in need ❤️ Spirit To Serve!

Mission Accomplished!!!! Empact was able to provide a total of 20 Move In boxes and 9 Air Mattresses for the residents at the Thurman Brisben Center in Fredericksburg, VA who are preparing to move into permanent housing. The Move In boxes contained items such as plates, bowls, silverware, cups, a lamp, alarm clock and other items that are useful for families as they start their new journey. God gets all the glory. Without him and our faithful supporters this would not have been possible. Spirit To Serve! 🙌🙌🙌
