Communitas Recreation recently hosted a cozy S’mores & Stories evening filled with campfire fun! Participants gathered around the fire to enjoy delicious camp treats, share stories, and even tell a few spooky ghost stories. It was a wonderful evening of laughter, connection, and summertime memories!

You may notice purple lights on the Veterans Memorial (Upper) Common this evening. Wakefield’s Veteran Service Officer Dave Mangan will be placing purple lights near the World War II memorial in honor of Purple Heart Day. Observed on August 7, it is an opportunity to remember and honor the men and women who bravely represented their country and were wounded or killed while serving. The lights will be up through Sunday, August 9.
