We were so excited to be able to work with the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum last week to educate students from Children's Harbor Eastern Shore's Anchors Aweigh! Summer Camp about the importance of clean waterways and some of Virginia Beach's surf and rescue history!

Tonight is the night for a fun cleanup at sunset with Clean Virginia Waterways and Beans Coffee !
We'll be meeting on the beach at 57th Street at 7pm for an evening of hands-on stewardship as we work together to keep litter and harmful plastic pollution out of our waterways. This community cleanup welcomes neighbors of all ages to make a real difference for our local shoreline and the wildlife that depends on it. To make this cleanup more meaningful, we will be collecting important data on the types of litter we pick up. You can download the Clean Swell app or use a paper data card that we provide. Wednesday, September 2nd, 5:30pm at the Chesapeake Bay Distillery : Join Clean Virginia Waterways and Chesapeake Bay Distillery as we celebrate the beginning of the Virginia Waterways Cleanup season. The newest Beach Toy Library was designed and decorated in partnership with Hampton Roads Transit to look like The Wave Beach Trolley! And we think it’s adorable! This new library will be parked at 27th Street on the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Of course, it could move up and down the strip, as the trollies on Atlantic Avenue do 🚋 so make sure you check the Keep It Beachy Clean website for all Beach Toy Library locations! Reduce and reuse beach toys: just one way to help keep plastics out of Virginia’s waterways!
