Billy the Kidden Rescue We provide TNR, kitten/cat trapping & socialization, feral assistance, limited re-homing, cat health Billy the Kidden Rescue began in the summer of 2013.

Our Mission at Billy the Kidden Rescue is to improve the lives of displaced cats and kittens and reduce feral cat populations in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born & unwanted kittens for adoption into forever homes. Since its start, the rescue has saved countless cats and kittens mainly through its practice of TNR (trap, neuter, return).

Through TNR, we have significantly decreased the feral cat population and reduced the number of kittens born into an environment in which their chance of survival is slim and their suffering inevitable. Billy the Kidden Rescue is also a foster based rescue. Even with all our efforts to implement TNR, hundreds of kittens continue to be born outside every year. Whenever possible, we attempt to place kittens born to outdoor ferals in foster homes to be socialized and adopted into forever homes. We're the largest home based rescue on the East Coast and our extensive network of fosters enables us to break the cycle for hundreds of cats annually.

Found in a wall…now looking for a home with a BFF and an unlimited snack subscription! 😹

🧡Meet Dante, a handsome 6 month old orange tabby with a heart of gold, a little bashful charm, and an appetite that could rival a grown lion! 🦁

🧡Dante's life started with quite the adventure when he was discovered inside a wall! Apparently, this little guy took the phrase "cat in the house" a bit too literally! 😹 Thankfully, those days are behind him, and he's ready for his next big adventure — finding his forever family!

At first, Dante might play a little hard to get, but give him some patience, tasty treats, and a few fun toys, and you'll discover one silly, playful little guy! 😻

🔥Wand toys? OBSESSED.
🔥Laser pointers? BEST INVENTION EVER.
🔥Chasing balls across the room? Olympic gold medalist! 🥇

Now, Dante does have one non-negotiable requirement: HE NEEDS A KITTY BESTIE! This boy isn't interested in being an only child! He needs another friendly, playful feline companion to wrestle with, chase around, and help build his confidence.🐈

🧡And let's talk about his other great love…FOOD! He's not picky about much, but he takes his dinner reservations VERY seriously!

Meet Billy Pace - but you can call him Pace! 🖤

🐾This handsome 1 year old tuxedo gentleman is affectionate, playful, curious, and full of personality! He settled into rescue like he owned the place and has been sharing the love ever since. 🫶

🐾Pace LOVES attention, snuggles, and belly rubs! When he’s not cuddling, he’s playing with toy mice, enjoying catnip, or hanging out with his favorite green pickle toy. 🥒

🐾Pace was previously adopted but returned for some very normal cat antics: wrestling with resident cats, helping himself to human food, and stealing baby bottles to chew on the ni***es. 🍼

🐾The takeaway? Pace is a playful young cat who needs appropriate toys, supervision, and a family that understands a curious kitty sometimes gets into mischief!😸

🐾He gets along well with other cats and would enjoy a playful feline friend. He’s comfortable around children, but snacks and baby bottles should definitely be kept out of reach. His experience with dogs is unknown.

🐾Pace isn't perfectly behaved - but really, who is? He’s an energetic cat with a big heart, a mischievous streak, and SO much love to give. He'll make you laugh, keep you entertained, and happily remind you when it's time for belly rubs!😻

Hi, we’re Groucho & Marx! 👋

🖤We're 5 month old tuxedo brothers with matching mustaches, gentle hearts, and one very important requirement…we must be adopted TOGETHER! 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

🤍We've been side by side since the very beginning, and we're happiest when we're together. If you spot one of us, the other is probably just a few paws away! 🐾🐾

🖤We can be a little shy when we meet new people. Big changes are a little scary for us, so we'll need a patient family who will let us settle in at our own pace. But once we know we're safe, we'll show you just how sweet and loving we really are. We may not be the first kittens to jump into your lap, but the love we give is worth the wait!

🤍We're pretty easy to please. Toss us a fluffy pom-pom ball, and we're entertained for ages! After playtime, you'll usually find us snuggled together on the little cat tower, taking one of our famous brother naps.💤

🖤We get along great with other kittens, adult cats, and even the Yorkie in our foster home! We'd do best in a calm home where we can continue building our confidence.

🖤We may have tiny mustaches, but we have huge hearts just waiting for the right family to love!❤️

👑🐾 Whisker Wednesday with Constantine the Great! 🐾👑

Greetings, loyal subjects! I am Constantine the Great, a handsome 3 year old gentleman with very important business to attend to. 🐈

My daily schedule is simple:

🪟 Survey my kingdom from the window.
🍽️ Ensure the kitchen staff maintains an acceptable meal schedule.
😽 Receive the admiration and affection I so richly deserve.
🛋️ Retire to a comfortable location for a well-earned nap.

Honestly, I don't think I'm asking for much. 😂

👑I'm a sweet, affectionate cuddle bug who prefers pets over toys. Sure, I'll entertain myself with a wand toy, but why chase something when I could be sitting here looking handsome while YOU adore ME? Priorities, people!

👑I'm also quite the conversationalist. I enjoy chatting with my foster mom, especially when I have concerns about the food service department. In my professional opinion, meals are ALWAYS late. The fact that my allegations cannot be substantiated is irrelevant. 🤣

👑Speaking of meals, I sometimes get SO excited about wet food that I forget how to eat it properly. Smaller portions may help me compose myself and remember the purpose of this very important event. 😹

👑When I'm not cuddling, supervising the neighborhood, or filing formal complaints, I enjoy hiding in cozy cubbies. At 11.5 pounds, my interpretation of the word hiding may be a little optimistic, but a king deserves his privacy!

👑There's just one thing you should know: I'm still learning that men can be trustworthy, so I'll need a little extra time and patience to warm up to the gentlemen in my future kingdom. Once I know you're safe, though, I'm happy to settle in and enjoy your company. ❤️

👑We don't yet know how I'll do with other cats, dogs, or children, so introductions would need to be slow and thoughtful. I could also be perfectly happy as your one and only feline ruler!

My royal requirements are quite reasonable:

🪟 A nice window for neighborhood surveillance.
🛋️ A cozy place to cuddle.
😽 Plenty of pets and affection.
🍽️ Smaller wet-food servings, if needed.
⏰ And, naturally, dinner served ON TIME.

👑Beneath this dignified exterior and my many administrative responsibilities, I'm simply a loving boy looking for a safe home where I can relax, be adored, and enjoy the peaceful life I deserve.

🐿️These adorable 6 month old brothers share a bond that's too special to break. They play together, wrestle together, nap together, and give each other confidence every step of the way, so they must be adopted TOGETHER!

🤎🤎Squirrel🤎🤎 is the life of the party! This outgoing little guy lives every day with enthusiasm. He loves everyone he meets, has plenty to say (especially at mealtime!), and keeps his foster family laughing with his playful antics. Whether he's chasing wand toys, pouncing on springs, zooming through the play tunnel, or curling up in your lap, Squirrel gives everything 100%.

💛💛Chipmunk💛💛 is the sweetheart of the duo! Affectionate, gentle, and incredibly loving, he's happiest snuggled on your lap or stretched across your chest. Since he was a tiny baby, he's loved forehead kisses—and he'll happily return them. He's the kind of kitten who melts into your arms and your heart.

🐿️Raised in a loving foster home from just a few days old, these brothers have grown into confident, affectionate kittens who adore people and thrive on companionship.

🐾🐾Tuesday Twosome: Atreyu & Bastian!🐾🐾

These handsome 4 month old brothers have been through a lot together, and now they’re looking for a forever home where they can continue growing, playing, and learning to trust—TOGETHER! 🏡

These resilient boys have come a LOOOONG way since arriving at animal control as tiny, sick kittens. With medical care, love, and patience, they’ve grown into healthy, playful little survivors with such unique personalities!🥹💕

🎭Bastian — The Drama King🎭

🤍Bastian has opinions, and he’s not afraid to share them! Being picked up? No, thank you. Loud noises? Absolutely not. The vacuum? His sworn enemy!

🤍But bring out the catnip mice, springs, wand toys, or cardboard boxes, and he’s ready for action. He also loves hiding in his play tunnel to surprise unsuspecting passersby. His favorite companion is, of course, his brother!

🤍Bastian is still learning to trust people and is beginning to appreciate gentle pets, especially when tasty treats are involved. A little bribery goes a long way with this boy! 😂

🥣Atreyu — The Happy Little Foodie🥣

🤎Atreyu is playful, gentle, and a little cautious around new people and experiences. He may need reassurance at first, but his happy personality shines through as he gets comfortable!

🤎His favorite things include chasing springs, batting around catnip mice, playing in the tunnel, and celebrating mealtime like it’s the best event of the day! When his foster mom shakes the treat jar and asks, “Is it time?” Atreyu comes running. Treat time waits for NO ONE!😂

🤎He enjoys gentle pets and is slowly becoming more comfortable with being held. He wholeheartedly agrees with his brother one one thing: the vacuum cleaner must go!

🐱🐶They get along wonderfully with other cats and kittens, and they do well with the small dog in their foster home.

🏡They need a quieter home with a patient family who will respect their boundaries, let them settle in at their own pace, and celebrate the little milestones along the way as they continue building confidence.

🪎They may not be instant lap cats, but trust doesn't have to happen overnight. Sometimes the sweetest rewards come from a slow blink, a gentle head bump, or a once-cautious kitten choosing to come sit beside you!
