From championing the Young Minds Center through the Food + W**e Festival for multiple years to the Gilmore Foundation’s recent investment in Methodist College’s upcoming CRNA Program, Laura’s commitment to strengthening Carle Health and the community will continue to make a difference for years to come. Carle Health Center for Philanthropy is proud to fund the purchase of books for the Reach Out and Read program in Greater Peoria. Reach Out and Read provides developmentally appropriate FREE books to children ages 0-5 at their well exam.

Through gifts awarded through Carle Health Center for Philanthropy, Reach Out and Read has been able to purchase 6,293 books across Peoria, Pekin, and Morton. Books are currently available in English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese.

At Carle Health, patients in Greater Peoria have access to advanced cancer screening and diagnostic equipment close to home, including state-of-the-art 3D mammography and Automated Breast Ultrasound technology as well as expanded breast imaging capabilities at both Carle Health Methodist Hospital and Carle Health Pekin Hospital. Carle Health Center for Philanthropy is proud to provide funding for equipment like this to help support earlier detection, more accurate diagnoses and a better patient experience. 💗

Congratulations to Dennis and Judy Triggs, recipients of Carle Health Center for Philanthropy's 2026 Cornerstone Award in the Greater Peoria Service Area!

For decades, Dennis and Judy have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare in our community. Dennis has served as a Proctor Hospital board member, a member of the UnityPoint Methodist Board, and later the Carle Health West Region Board, where he now holds the title of Board Member Emeritus. He currently continues his leadership and service on the Carle Health West Region Executive Committee and the Carle Health System Board.

Their generous support of Carle Health continues to help shape the healthcare landscape we know today. Thank you, Dennis and Judy, for your extraordinary service and commitment to improving the health and well-being of our community.

💪 Stronger recovery starts with the right tools.

Thanks to support from the Carle Health Center for Philanthropy Greatest Needs Fund, patients at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital now have access to the Shuttle Ultimate Leg Press & Plyometric Training System. This innovative equipment supports high-repetition, low-impact rehabilitation exercises and offers adjustable resistance to meet patients at every stage of their recovery journey.
