Mother Nature provided some much-needed rain for Nature Day, but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits! The MIPP Native Plant Sale was unaffected, and many of the workshops went ahead (more or less) as planned: Monarch Tagging; Nest Box Building; Nature Book Signing; Field Methods for Bat Work; Intro to eBird and Merlin; Marcel, the Spotted Lanternfly Detector Dog; Animal Ambassadors; TN Smart Yards; Beyond Binoculars Workshop -- there was still plenty to see and do! Thanks to everyone who came out and took part in spite of the weather!

Save the date! 2027 will take place on October 9!

More pictures coming! Share yours in the comments!

414 lbs of litter OFF the Murfreesboro Greenway, now that’s what we’re talkin’ about! Today’s vols took advantage of the low & slow water to reach some typically unreachable places around the Manson Pike Trailhead. There was NO quit in this crew! They filled bag after bag after bag and found some large litter items too.

HUGE thanks to Nora, Gary, Graham, Tommie, Dennis, Brendan, John, Mark, Kira and Savannah for helping us Keep Tennessee Beautiful this gorgeous October morning! 🍁
