Meet Pink – The Tiny Survivor with a Big Personality At 10 years old and just 15 lbs, Pink has already lived through more than most dogs ever should. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, she arrived in our care pregnant, malnourished, and in need of immediate help. Sadly, her puppies did not survive after an emergency C-section, but Pink’s fight to live—and to thrive—has never wavered. Born with a birth defect called "small eye," and dealing with the toll of years of neglect, Pink needed months of loving care before she was healthy enough to be spayed. Even then, her recovery was slow, and something still didn’t seem quite right. After a few days of unusual behavior, her foster mom witnessed what appeared to be seizure activity. Pink was started on seizure medication, which she now takes twice daily—and the good news is, she’s been seizure-free for over 3 months! Pink is currently in a loving foster home with other dogs. She definitely likes to be the Queen Bee when first meeting new pups, but she settles in quickly and knows how to share her space. Her favorite things? Walks, car rides, and keeping watch over her home—Pink takes her role as protector seriously and isn’t afraid to let you know she’s on duty! Despite everything she’s endured, Pink is full of life, love, and a little bit of sass. She’s looking for a forever home that will cherish her golden years, keep her on her meds, and treat her like the tiny royalty she is. If you’re looking for a loyal, spunky companion with a survivor’s heart, Pink is your girl. Pink is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines and her adoption fee is $205. She is about 10 years old and weighs 15 lbs. Apply to adopt PINK LONESTAR at www.ehrdogs.org

Muppet may be the runt of his unplanned litter, but he’s overflowing with personality and sweetness. This adorable tan pup with a soft coat is cute, funny, and determined to keep up with his siblings every step of the way. He’s learning about the world with all the curiosity and silliness you’d expect from a puppy, and he brings joy wherever he goes. Muppet is ready for a family who will guide him, love him, and celebrate the big heart inside his small frame. Muppet is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $495. FELIX Lonestar. Another example of just how awesome and committed our adopters are ❤️

Felix is now **Storm Gray , and he is doing absolutely amazing! ❤️🐾

When we adopted him at seven months old, he was about 37 pounds and didn’t even know how to walk on a leash or go up and down the stairs. Within the first week, he was already making so much progress. He has come such a long way since then and is now 64 pounds — definitely a big boy! 😊

I’m not sure if you knew about this, but when we adopted Storm through Eleventh Hour Rescue, they mentioned that they were concerned about his two front paws being flat and recommended that we have them checked. When we took him to our vet and had X-rays done, the doctor wasn’t too concerned about his front paws, and explained that with some calcium they would go back to normal. However, we were completely surprised to learn that both of his back knees had fractures, and he never showed any signs of it — no limping or obvious pain, and he was walking completely fine.

Of course, we were extremely worried. The vet gave us two options: surgery or trying to allow the fractures to heal naturally. That meant being extremely careful with him — carrying him up and down the stairs and in and out of the car, no long walks, no jumping or rough activity, along with supplements and lots of patience. We decided that before putting him through surgery, we wanted to give the first option a chance.

I’m so happy to say that after about three months, both of his knees are now about 90% healed! 🙏❤️ We are extremely grateful that we didn’t have to put him through surgery. We did everything we possibly could to protect him and give his knees the chance to heal properly, and thankfully it has paid off. We’re just so happy with how well he has recovered.

Storm is doing great on the leash and has learned so much. He is incredibly lovable and affectionate and is wonderful with people, children, and other pets. Everywhere we go, we get so many compliments about how handsome, sweet, and well-behaved he is. He has also been great in the house from the very beginning.

Of course, there are still a few little things we continue to work on, but overall he is doing fantastic. We truly couldn’t be happier. We love him unconditionally, and he has been the perfect fit for our family. ❤️

Now that his knees are doing so well, we’re hoping that starting next month we can send him to doggy daycare one day a week so he can safely run around, play, socialize, and make some doggy friends. I think he is going to absolutely love it! 🐶🐾

I would be more than happy to send you some pictures, and you absolutely have our permission to share his update and photos on your page.

We would also love to meet you when you come to New Jersey for Pup-toberfest in October! Since you fostered him and were such an important part of his life before he came to us, I think it would be so special for you to see him again and see how much he has grown and changed.

Thank you again for checking on our big boy. Storm is very loved, very spoiled, and doing wonderful!
