Smith County Medical Society Alliance Book Fair Foundation Bi-annual used book sales (April and October) were held for 52 years to fund health scholarships.

For over 50 years, the SCMSA Book Fair Foundation sold donated books to the community and the proceeds funded allied healthcare related scholarships and community health projects. We have now sold our Book Fair building and are currently reimagining how we will continue to raise money for scholarships and community projects. We now have a book vending machine at St Paul Children’s Clinic. Children receive a token after they have their medical visit to”buy” a free book. We have partnered with the Texas Medical Association Alliance and their Texas BookShare program. We also continue to raise funds for our healthcare scholarships at TJC and UTT.
