TAALP was proud to host this year’s TAPA gathering, bringing together paralegal organizations from across Texas for a meaningful time of connection, collaboration, and growth.

It was an outstanding group of professionals who came ready to share ideas, strengthen networks, and explore new ways to grow membership and expand the value we provide to our members. From engaging CLE sessions to relaxed social time, including bowling and great conversations, the event struck the perfect balance between professional development and genuine connection.

We are grateful to everyone who attended and contributed. The energy, insight, and dedication in the room made it clear that the future of our organizations is strong.

Looking forward to continuing the momentum and building even more together.

A special thank you to our board and committee volunteers for their hard work in making this a success.

We appreciate our speakers who provided engaging and informative CLE content.

We also wish to thank our vendors: Premier Record Retrieval, U.S. Legal Support, and CKC Consulting for their sponsorships and company during the event.

Here are a few photos from the event.

Our evening social last night was a hit. Laughter filled the room as we enjoyed hearing from our guest speaker, Joe Gomez, who shared fascinating stories from his career in law enforcement and his current work as a Private Investigator and expert witness in both civil and criminal cases. We also celebrated Texas Paralegal Day with treats and a reminder of how essential paralegals are to the legal profession. Special thanks to Maria Sturdy, State Bar Paralegal Division District 14 Director, for joining us to share information about membership in the Paralegal Division—and for bringing additional goodies for everyone to enjoy.

Our next meeting on November 13 at noon, promises to be just as engaging! We’ll welcome Dr. Stevie Hight, Juvenile Psychologist, who will share valuable insights from her professional experience working with youth in the justice system. Mark your calendars and join us for another event of learning, networking, and connection. We hope to see you there.
