Today, Empowering Through Beauty had the privilege of hosting another Empowerment Program in Bridgeport, where we focus on helping women in recovery discover new possibilities, rebuild their confidence, and embrace a brighter future.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible facilitator, Dr. Faith, for being a constant source of hope, encouragement, and inspiration throughout the years. Your unwavering commitment and compassionate heart continue to make a lasting impact on every woman you encounter.

At Empowering Through Beauty, we believe that recovery is more than overcoming challenges—it’s about rediscovering purpose, restoring confidence, and creating new possibilities for the future.

Together, we are empowering women to look better, feel better, and do better—one life at a time.

Today, I dedicate my TEDx Tryon talk to every woman and every girl.
Standing on that TEDx stage was more than giving a speech—it was a reminder that where you come from does not determine how far you can go. Coming from Polk County, North Carolina, I never imagined that my story would be shared on a platform with worldwide reach. I am incredibly grateful that my county helped put me on the map in such a meaningful way.
What makes this even more special is that this was the very first time I had ever spoken on a stage anywhere. If God can take someone who had never stood on a stage before and give her the courage to share her story, imagine what He can do through you.
To every woman and every girl reading this: dream big. Don’t let fear, your past, or anyone else’s opinion stop you. You are capable of accomplishing more than you can imagine if you are willing to believe, persevere, and keep moving forward.
If you see strength in me, know that it isn’t my power. It is God living in me who made this possible. Every opportunity, every door, and every blessing has been by His grace. To Him belongs all the glory.
I pray my journey gives someone hope. I pray it reminds you that determination, faith, and obedience can take you places you never thought possible.
I would also love for you to join us for our next Her Legacy Toast on Wednesday, August 5. Together, we’ll continue celebrating, encouraging, and empowering women to embrace the incredible legacy they are creating.
Never stop believing in yourself. Never stop believing in God’s purpose for your life.

At Empowering Through Beauty, Inc., we believe that when a woman begins to see her worth again, everything starts to change.

Today, we had the honor of serving incredible women in recovery by helping them look better, feel better, and do better through haircuts, color, styling, clothing, encouragement, and genuine love. Watching their confidence return through every smile, embrace, and transformation was a beautiful reminder that hope is alive.

These women are not forgotten. They are valued, they are loved, and they have a future filled with purpose. We are excited to see what God is going to do in their lives.

One of the most touching moments of the day came when one of the women shared these simple but powerful words:
“You are not forgotten, even when you think you are.”

Today, we want to pass that message on to everyone reading this:

You are not forgotten.
No matter what you’ve been through or what season you’re in, know that God sees you, loves you, and has not forgotten you.

We are grateful to have been present to witness and capture these life-changing moments. They remind us why our mission matters and why we will continue showing up for women who need hope, encouragement, and a fresh start.

A special thank you to our incredible partners, volunteers, and supporters. Your generosity makes this work possible. Because of you, women are rediscovering their confidence, embracing their beauty, and believing in themselves again.
