Great news!!! Spanish version coming in 2027!!

🌎📚 Kindness speaks many languages! ❤️

We've been keeping a little something under wraps...and we're excited to share a SNEAK PEEK!

Our children's book, Kindness is Caring, Friendship is Sharing, is going Spanish! 🇪🇸

We're working toward a Spring 2027 release, bringing our message of kindness, friendship, and The Four-Way Test to even more children around the world.

Here's a first look at our Spanish cover! We're still fine-tuning the details, including the title, but we just couldn't wait to share it with you!

❤️ Rotary clubs, we'd love to hear from you! Could you see the Spanish edition being used in your schools or communities? Perhaps even beyond your own borders?

Imagine how many more children we can reach when kindness knows no language barriers!

Have questions about Medicare? This Friday, October 9, join us for breakfast and a conversation about the basics of Medicare!

Rotarian Brenda Weber Finizio will be our speaker at our Rotary breakfast at Vazzy’s, 513 Broadbridge Rd., Bridgeport, at 7:30 AM.

With Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period getting underway, it’s a great time to understand the different parts of Medicare, the different types of coverage, and how they all fit together.
Whether you’re new to Medicare, already enrolled, or helping a family member navigate it, come join us and learn the basics.

☀️🌭 A wonderful day at our Annual Senior Picnic! 🍔❤️

Today, the Trumbull Rotary had the pleasure of hosting nearly 100 local seniors for one of our favorite traditions — our Annual Senior Picnic!

There were hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, chips, cold drinks, lots of smiles, and most importantly, wonderful time spent together. We love hosting this special day each year — and judging by the smiles, our guests love it just as much as we do! 😊

A huge THANK YOU to our generous sponsors who help make this wonderful community event possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

Our Rotary friends in Miramichi, Canada are sharing Kindness is Caring, Friendship is Sharing with their community — this time with Mayor Veronique Arsenault joining them for a special reading! 🇨🇦

UPDATE: DATE AND TIME CHANGE

Our club is excited to have Miramichi Mayor Veronique Arsenault on board for a special reading of the children’s book “Kindness is Caring, Friendship is Sharing” by Tish Rabe on Saturday, October 3, at 1 p.m. at the Newcastle Public Library!

Earlier this year, we purchased several copies of this book — published in partnership with Trumbull Rotary in Connecticut — with some of the proceeds from last year’s Purse Auction event in support of literacy initiatives and other Rotary projects.

Tish Rabe is a prolific children’s author whose body of work includes books in the Dr. Seuss and Clifford the Big Red Dog series, among other popular titles. Her “Kindness is Caring” book is meant to teach kids about Rotary. One of our club’s copies of this book was recently displayed by the Miramichi Literacy Council as part of its Story Walk initiative at Middle Island Irish Historical Park!

We look forward to seeing everyone on October 3 at the Newcastle Library!

Today, we had our friends from Trumbull Public Schools share the books that will be read during this year’s Read Aloud Day! One of the books that will be read is “The Street Beneath My Feet” by Charlotte Guillian, which is a double-sided foldout book that takes you on a fascinating journey deep underground.

We look forward to volunteering again this year, and continue to support TPS in any way we can.

 For the fourth year, our Rotary club joined our Trumbull community for the candlelight vigil and recognition of World Su***de Prevention Day, sponsored by My Friend Abby.
It was a touching evening of remembrance, reflection and hope honoring lives lost to su***de.
We are grateful to  Friend Abby for bringing our community together and shining a light on mental health awareness, and su***de prevention.

At our Friday meeting this week, our guest speaker will be from LivFree.

livfreetoday represents an important piece of the childhood cancer support community by bringing families together through a Moment of Joy.
When a child and their family is ready to:
- Take a break during a window in treatment,
- Celebrate a treatment cycle coming to an end,
- Or honor the life of their child,
LivFree is there to react, create, and deliver a smile at a local sporting event, museum, show, amusement park, or a special night out. These moments may seem small, but they are as mighty as the young warriors who inspire them.
