Elevate Bridgeport

Elevate Bridgeport Youth Organization The curriculum is based on 13 character qualities and life skills with over 800+ lessons.

ELEVATE Bridgeport's primary objective is to inspire at-risk, urban youth in Bridgeport to graduate high school and to become productive adults in both their personal and professional lives. The ELEVATE Bridgeport model is a unique approach that combines full-time Teacher/Mentors who facilitate 4 interdependent program areas for students in 6th through 12th grades, which includes:

1) Instruction

- During it's startup year ELEVATE Bridgeport will employ 3 Teacher/ Mentors who will teach daily elective, credited classes at one local high school five days per week. ELEVATE will also teach daily classes at one local middle school which will feed into the high school we serve, creating a continuous, six-year pipeline, leading to high school graduation. ELEVATE's high school students will also be taught to teach character qualities and life skills to students at "feeder" middle schools.

2) Mentoring -- Each Teacher/Mentor will spend time mentoring students outside of the classroom through one-on-one relationships, leadership camps, service projects, college tours, and adventure activities. ELEVATE staff will make themselves available to students 24/7, meaning they are available in the evenings, on the weekends, and during the summer. This steady presence in the lives of our youth is exclusive to our approach and directly impacts our success.

3) Post-Secondary Preparation – ELEVATE’s primary focus is to prepare our students for success after high school graduation by helping them to develop a working plan for the future. 100% of ELEVATE seniors receive one-on-one post-secondary counseling sessions.

4) Adventure- ELEVATE Bridgeport will have students explore life beyond their comfort zone. Through new and challenging experiences, students will develop teamwork and leadership skills. Adventure activities will include rafting, skiing, horseback riding, and more.

This was our senior send-off, a moment to pause and celebrate a group of young people standing at the edge of a brand new chapter.

Sometimes the most meaningful events aren’t the most expensive ones.

They’re the ones that remind people they are seen, valued, celebrated, and loved.

Congratulations, seniors. Your future is waiting for you. 🎓🧡

To the Class of 2026,

As you step into your next chapter, remember that your future is not defined by where you started, but by the courage, character, and determination you carry with you. Each challenge you’ve overcome, every lesson you’ve learned, and every goal you’ve worked toward has prepared you for this moment.

Never underestimate the impact you can make on the world around you. Dream boldly, work relentlessly, lead with integrity, and never stop believing in your ability to grow. Greatness is not reserved for a select few. It is built one decision, one opportunity, and one act of perseverance at a time.

We are proud of all you have accomplished and even more excited for all that is ahead. Wherever life takes you, remember that you are capable, you are valuable, and you are destined for great things.

Keep elevating.

With pride,

Elevate Bridgeport

Students don’t just need teachers anymore…
they need people who truly connect with them.

Bridge Academy’s Superintendent explains why bringing Elevate Bridgeport into the school became bigger than just another program.

What stood out most?
The relationships.

The mentorship.
The exposure.
The feeling students get when trusted adults genuinely show up for them both inside AND outside the classroom.

One thing he said hit hard:
“the dynamic changes.”

And honestly… he’s right.

This conversation says a lot about what students really need today.

PART 1 🎥

Stay tuned for PART 2 - The conversation gets deeper!

✨ STUDENT HIGHLIGHT ✨

This month, we are proud to celebrate Isaiah Falcon, a senior at Bridge Academy whose presence has left a lasting impact on everyone around him.

Isaiah is the kind of student who walks into a room and instantly changes the energy. His positivity is contagious, his spirit is uplifting, and his ability to bring people together is something truly special. Whether he’s encouraging his peers, stepping into leadership roles, or simply showing up with kindness and confidence, Isaiah leads in every sense of the word.

In the absence of Choir Director Mr. Fernandez, Isaiah stepped up to help co-lead the choir with maturity, passion, and dedication. That level of leadership speaks volumes about his character and the trust that his teachers and peers have in him.

As Isaiah prepares for his next chapter at Porter and Chester Institute, we celebrate not only the impact that mentors and teachers have had on him, but also the impact he has had on all of us. Students like Isaiah remind us why relationships matter. He has become a leader, role model, and light within our school community, and he will truly be missed by his teachers, mentors, and peers alike.

Isaiah, thank you for the joy, leadership, and energy you’ve brought into our community. Your future is bright, and we cannot wait to see all that you accomplish.

Just a quick recap… 👀🏀

Our Bridge vs. Bassick Basketball Tournament was such a powerful experience for our students. Bringing two schools together in one space created opportunities for connection, encouragement, healthy competition, teamwork, and community.

Events like this give students the chance to build relationships outside of their everyday environments, support one another, challenge themselves, and simply enjoy positive experiences together. From the energy in the gym to everyone coming together afterward to share a meal, the entire day was filled with laughter, unity, and memorable moments.

This is exactly why we love creating experiences like these for our youth. ❤️

And this is only the beginning… Full highlights, student moments, behind-the-scenes footage, and more detailed tournament videos are coming soon 👀🔥

🏀🔥 THE CITY’S BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. 🔥🏀

Tomorrow, Elevate Bridgeport officially teams up with the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, and we are beyond excited to bring one of our students’ MOST anticipated events of the year to the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club-Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse… the Annual Bassick vs. Bridge Academy Basketball Tournament. 👀🔥

All year long, students build excitement for this moment. The rivalry, the school pride, the competitive energy, the trash talk, the teamwork, the memories. This is more than a game. It’s one of those experiences students talk about long after the final buzzer sounds.

What makes Elevate different is that our teachers and mentors don’t just stand on the sidelines… they step directly into the experience WITH our students. Tomorrow, our teacher mentors will hit the court as players representing each school, while the legendary Mr. McCullough takes over as referee. 🏀🔥

We’re incredibly grateful to Wakeman Boys & Girls Club-Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse for opening their doors and helping create an afternoon centered around mentorship, connection, competition, school spirit, and community.

Bridgeport… it’s game time. 😤🏀🔥
