Confidence is built through achievement.

It is not uncommon for children with learning differences to spend years feeling inadequate, not because they lack ability, but because they haven’t had enough opportunities to allow their talents to shine through!

At Oakland School, we create those opportunities every day, in the classroom, through STEM, hands-on learning, and even working with our horses.

When students recognize and are SEEN for what they can do, they begin to take risks, embrace challenges, advocate for themselves and begin to believe in what’s possible.

Happy Fall from all of us at Oakland School and Summer Camp! 🎃
As your learners get ready for Halloween, it’s also a great time to start thinking about next summer!

We’re excited to invite your family to Oakland’s 78th summer camp and offer the opportunity to lock in our 2026 camp rate for Summer 2027 when you register by November 30, 2026.

☀️ Summer 2027 Camp Dates: July 6–30
🏕️ Overnight camper arrival: Monday, July 5, at 4 p.m.

For Summer 2027, we’ve consolidated camp into the month of July to give families more flexibility for vacations, family activities, and time together before and after camp.

Returning campers do not need to pay the $50 application fee, and a $500 deposit will hold your child’s spot.

We’re looking forward to another wonderful summer filled with learning, outdoor adventures, new friendships, and fun. We hope your family will be part of it!

Students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences can be exceptional creative thinkers, problem-solvers, innovators, engineers and scientists.

They ask big questions-and make connections others might miss.
✨ A reading challenge should never inhibit strengths or limit a child’s potential.
At Oakland School, specialized literacy instruction, hands-on STEM learning, and personalized support help students build skills while exploring ways to give their natural gifts and curiosity room to grow.
